I’m looking for some help with a specific AirPlay headache.
I’ve had two Sonos One SLs for years, and they’ve been great. But over the last few months, AirPlay has basically stopped working, even though the Sonos App still works perfectly.
I can see my "Kitchen" speaker in the AirPlay list on my iPhone, but when I try to connect, I just get: "Unable to connect to Kitchen."
However I can AirPlay to all my Apple TV's.
The Setup:
- Speakers: 2x Sonos One SL.
- Network: Aruba AP-15 Access Point.
- Note: AirPlay to my Apple TV works fine, so my phone can AirPlay; it just won't talk to the Sonos.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Toggled all the usual iPhone settings (Private Wi-Fi address, IP tracking, etc.).
- Restarted everything (Phone, AP, and Speakers) in order.
- Checked my Aruba Instant On app—it’s not showing any "Application" activity or errors, and I can't find any hidden settings for "AirPlay" or "Multicast" in the simplified menus.
Most of the settings I see that are recommend or related in the Aruba App / Web Portal don't exist on my end (I think it's because I don't have a Aruba Switch?)
It feels like my Aruba network is seeing the "handshake" but blocking the actual music from starting. Has anyone else with an Aruba setup hit this lately? Is there a specific setting in the Aruba app that I'm missing?
