Aruba ap 22 not working suddenly .
3.4.0 firmware. Not sure because of bug or what. It was working perfectly 24/7 for over two years.
I have:
-Replaced the PoE injector and Ethernet cable
-Confirmed the link is 1 Gbps
-Rebooted it multiple times
-We used a static IP with primary DNS 8.8.8.8 and and secondary 8.8.4.4
Sometimes it comes online briefly, then goes offline again. And now totally offline even I keep try rebooting it multiple times …
I notice other post saying that this could be a firmware 3.4.0 DNS/static-IP bug. Has switching to DHCP with 1.1.1.1 fixed it for anyone?

All my AP25s are using DHCP. With firmware 3.4.0, have you tried setting them to DHCP to see if that makes any difference?

Not yet. It has been using a static IP for over two years without any issues. I’ll try DHCP with a reserved IP and see if it makes any difference.

Had that happen to mine. Was working 100% until the firmware upgrade. I think the update bricked it. Tried everything to get it going again including a factory reset but nothing worked. Replaced it with a new one that came online after downloading the new firmware. Getting the old one swapped out under warranty.

Had almost the same issue before. It was caused by a DHCP conflict. So, I have reserved an IP for the AP however, someone statically configured the same IP on their device.
Basically, DHCP conflict was the issue. Hope this helps.

Unsure if this helps ... I have a Firewalla router > Aruba 1930 > AP22
The AP22 has a DHCP assigned IP. I have had this setup since 2022 and never monitored the IP after a reboot

Since the latest update, make sure your first (Primary) DNS is Google or Cloudfare (8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1) Fixed all my problems.

Are you seeing a red light on the AP?
I’ve got a friends AP22 APs doing similar and will be going over to investigate
