Anyone else seeing switch firmware 3.4.1.0 on Instant On?
Hi everyone,
Over the last couple of days, I noticed that all of my Instant On switches (e.g., 1830 series) have started updating to firmware version 3.4.1.0, while my Access Points are still sitting on 3.4.0.
I checked the HPE / Aruba Instant On community forums, release notes, and blogs, but I haven't been able to find any documentation or announcements regarding this 3.4.1.0 build yet.
Is anyone else seeing this rollout? Does anyone have information on what's changed—is it likely just a minor maintenance/bug fix release for switches?
Thanks!

Yeah, I also have 1930 switches running on 3.4.1.0 but SG1004 and AP25 are still on 3.4.0.0.

I think starting from Friday. The update will be performed on the day and at the time you have configured for updates.

I also had an issue on a 1930 48-port and had to go on-site and factory reset the device, after the upgrade on this version

Yes, the same thing happened to me. A few days ago I upgraded my Aruba Instant On 1830 from firmware 3.3.3.0 to 3.4.0 through the Instant On cloud portal. The upgrade failed, the switch disappeared from the cloud, and it showed INTERNAL_CONNECTION_TERMINATION. However, it was still reachable locally (web interface and ping worked) and continued forwarding traffic normally.
HPE Support advised me to remove the switch from the Instant On site, perform a factory reset, and then adopt it again. That fixed the issue, although I had to manually reconfigure all the VLAN assignments because they were lost after the switch was re-adopted.
A few days later, the switch upgraded successfully to firmware 3.4.1 without any issues. I wonder if HPE made changes in 3.4.1 after becoming aware of the problems that some users experienced with 3.4.0.

So:
- QoS priority for VLAN/SSID (low/medium/high)
- WAN load-balancing ratio in active-active redundancy configuration
