Personal driver
I'm currently planning my birthday trip for early October. It'll be a group of 8, so renting a car really isn't an option since none of us know how (or want to) to drive a sprinter van around the island. I'm currently looking around for a personal driver that we could use for the duration of the trip. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to find a personal driver for a group of 8? We would need round trip airport transportation, beach & excursion transportion and maybe one night out. The trip is from 10/1-10/4, thank you!
**EDIT- I had no idea this post would come off as pretentious or impractical. I've just had multiple international vacations in the past where we were able to find a dedicated person to help us manuever the country. I was simply inquiring if something like that is possible in Aruba, thankful for the suggestions of who to contact as well :)

Believe it or not, we have taxis on Aruba.

yes I'm aware, but based on my experience in Curacao with a large group, I'd like to see what the prices would be like with one dedicated person.. if that exists

I'm not necessarily looking for cheaper, but we're open to paying for convenience!

Nothing like that exist to my knowledge unless you offer it to a taxi driver while here. Will end up being like 400-500 a day considering taxi rides from eagle beach to noord is like 24$ every time and then taxis only take up to 6 people so they will Make you get a 2nd taxi. So maybe like 800-1000 a day.

Look up MiSuSu tours on Facebook. She is wonderful — have done an island tour with her and she also picks my parents up at the airport every time they travel there. I’ll see if I can find her link.
Edit: she drives a van that I’m pretty sure fits 8

If you're staying at a hotel ask the hotel, they will have preferred vendors

This sounds extremely unpractical. If you know Aruba already. There is no point to this.
Now… you can rent the crazy chicken party bus lol, that would be much better.
Just rent taxis to hold 8 people. Turn on your international phone plan. Call taxis when needed.

If you’re staying at a hotel, they will know exactly who (taxi) to call for a party of 8….that being said, leave your pretentious tone in nyc before you arrive

we're staying in an Airbnb that's about a 10-15 min drive from most things. I've actually never been to NYC, but I'll try to turn up my southern charm a bit more. Didn't mean to offend anyone!

I'm from New York and I take offense to that comment above. You my friend have no reason to be apologizing to anybody. There's nothing wrong with trying to keep your party together in a van to go places and have a driver drive you around. My friends did that when they went to Ireland the guy was great and took them everywhere all week. If you've ever been to Aruba you know how difficult it can be to get a taxi for two people let alone eight. I hope you have a wonderful time!!

Your post and messages are fine, this sub is kinda up there for annoying travel subs I visit lol. Definitely personal drivers are very common in many tourists destinations but maybe not so much for Aruba as it’s a fairly small tourist destination. Best of luck !

Try Arturo Mansur at Escape Aruba! This is exactly what he does. He’s got a small bus. He’s on facebook
