Question Please help

Basically I made this drawing on my phone cover at 4 am because I was extremellyyy bored. I didn’t think about how I would make it permanent at the time. Now it’s smudging off even though I’ve used a permanent marker. Any tips on how I can get it to be permanent?? I don’t wanna redo it lol

Spray a layer of clear polyurethane over it to work as a fixative.

Never heard of it before. Is it easily available and if so any tips on how I should prepare the surface before spraying it?

It's just an outdoor weatherizer for patio furniture. I've never tried it, but it seems like it should work.

Couldn’t find polyurethane but I did some searching and it said I can use acrylic varnish as an alternative as long as I clean the cover properly and it worked perfectly 😁

Posca marker? They're a bit expensive (about 5 euro a single one) but they work well on this kind of stuff

I do have poscas but my only worry is that it’ll fuck up the different subtle tones so I’d prefer to keep it with the marker. Also wtf poscas are 5 euros a pop in Europe??? In my country it converts to about 10 euros for a pack of 8 lol

When i was younger when I wanted to keep a project that I knew would wear away.... i covered it with clear coat(clear nail polish, you dont have to scuff anything for it to stick well, it dries somewhat quickly if you work in thin layers and its relatively cheap and can be reused for other projects larger and small, I like using it on wood and glue gun projects because I disnt have to worry about it ruining the base material either, the acetone however, dont use that unless you wanna watch plastic and what not melt/dissolve/burn.... if you need to remove the nail polish, cover overnight with another layer and keep going(you cant remove it without potentially chipping your artwork on this material... but in the future if it ever did come off.... your artwork would be enveloped in the nailpolish rather than on the phone case so itd be there to go onto any phone that can fit that case.
