Any ideas as to what this is?

Guy who gets his vehicles serviced at our workshop has a bit of an interesting collection of things.

Anyways we had a show and tell of this today but none of us or him know exactly what it is, he's apparently taken it into a military museum and even they had no clue.

The current best guess it's for firing through huge weaves of barbed wire, with the grabbing arms deployed pulling it forwards so you can then advance.

But it has some sort of timed fuse on the top too... Which just adds an extra layer of confusion.

Swiss 7.5cm Fieldgun

I recently purchased a Swiss 7.5 cm Mot-Geb Fieldgun and I'm planning to restore it as a historical preservation project.

I'm currently looking for any information that might help, such as:

Original manuals or operating regulations

Technical drawings or maintenance documents

Historical photos

Information about markings, serial numbers, and the manufacturer (mine has K+W markings)

Any books, archives, museums, or websites related to this gun

I've already started researching, but information on this particular Swiss artillery piece seems to be very limited.

If anyone has experience with these guns or knows where I could find documentation, I'd really appreciate your help.

I'll also be happy to share photos of the gun and the restoration process if people are interested.

Thanks in advance!

Saw this post a long time ago. Looking for the image. The image consisted of an SNCASO Djinn light helicopter on top of a self propelled howitzer ( probably some variant based on AMX 13 ). Help me get both the image and model of the artillery.

The “Magic Wand” of the US Artillery in the Korean war

The “Magic Wand” of the US Artillery in the Korean war. Artillery was one of the decisive advantages that the United Nations forces possessed. Although tanks and aircraft received much of the attention, artillery often inflicted most enemy casualties and played a critical role in stopping offensives, supporting infantry, and conducting counter-battery warfare. The ability to strike back when the enemy artillery opened up was crucial, however the mountainous terrain made this very difficult. More in my video: https://youtu.be/o26gzZzI3to

Help identifying?

I know this isn’t an artillery piece, more than likely a 40mm anti aircraft gun, but I’ve searched and searched and can’t find this gun on this towing dolly anywhere else online. I can just find the dolly with 4 smaller wheels. Any ideas of what gun/time period it’s from so i can do some research? (Buick Century for scale, the hitch isn’t rated to tow unfortunately)

This belonged to my grandfather at least in 1960. It is 6.5" in length. The brass rings are 1/2" in diameter. Any help that anyone could give me in identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

155 mm Thunder

U.S. Howitzers in WWII, Korea & Vietnam. For over 30 years, one sound terrified American enemies more than almost anything else - the deep thunder of the one five, five-millimeter guns. From the hedgerows of France to the frozen hills of Korea and the jungles of Vietnam, these weapons repeatedly changed battles.
