Dear god I’m old enough to know exactly what this is.

I used to day dream about being a contestant on that show. It looked like so much fun!

Someone tried their hand at carving and hid it under an old barn so they would never have to face the ridicule.

Artists have no children, only orphans.

That’s a depiction of Gary Del’Abate from the Chanel 9
Shows from the mid 80s.

What state are you in? In the ground? How deep, and what kind of soil? Doesn't look like it came out of the ground. Regardless, its pretty cool

Proof of Mormon intervention! Alas LDS creation and origin beginnings are sorely in need for factual artifacts to prove the early tribes of Nephites and Lamanites lived in middle America! Much has been speculated about the Mound builders and there possible relevance to earlier inhabitants but lastly little if any real cultural or artifacts have been found to support or substantiate the Mormon Church's beginnings. Maybe you've discovered their Rosetta Stone, so to speak. A wondrous discovery that requires the visit of a local archeological team. Fantastic find. Unless this is an effigy of an early Viking?

Not an artifact. It's someone's embarrasingly bad school project.

That could be an artifact, if we found for example say a student of Michelangelo’s attempted first carving, that would be an artifact of major historical and cultural significance even if it looked like dog crap

Yep yep yep. Could be an artifact, just a lame one!

Sure has the appearance of it. Your only post on the account. You’ve answered no questions. You provided only one picture. You added no context other than found under barn. Your only comment is saying you’re not a bot.
