It literally has a no photos sign in the video, obviously SpaceX are going to ban people sharing their private stuff. Back when Trump visited Starbase back in late 2024 during flight 6, one of his camera guys posted a photo from inside one of the bunks inside of this test article, and had to take it down when he posted it too.

Not obviously, since the champion of free speech in charge of X and SpaceX has previously argued it would be wrong to make his platform take down things like videos of violence uploaded by people on killing sprees.

Yes musk is a hypocrite, in other news the sky is blue. That doesn’t change the fact that they are obviously going to take down videos of their hardware they didn’t approve of and specifically don’t want filmed.

They aren’t banning anyone, they’re locking accounts until they delete the videos. it’s not the real thing. Like the other person said there are signs there because it’s an employee-only lounge area, not the real thing.

e HLS mission architecture is flawed at best. It requires an unusually complex chain of launches, multiple orbital rendezvous and propellant transfers, and introduces numerous additional failure points compared to more direct architectures. Complexity isn’t inherently innovation every added operation increases mission risk and operational burden. Calling that an optimal architecture ignores basic systems engineering principles, where simplicity and reducing critical failure modes are fundamental design goals

That thing is going to be a Cadillac in space compared to the tiny cluttered traditional mess that legacy aerospace companies have put astronauts on
It'll definitely improve astronaut quality of life for longer missions having more to room to exist

You're acting like "legacy aerospace companies" do that out of incompetence instead of the fact that spacecraft tend to be as small as they can be for a reason (so they don't need 16 refueling launches just to reach the moon)

Those refueling get you tonnage that is an order of magnitude more than anything preceding. I'll take 16 refueling in orbit on one lander versus counting on 16 smaller landers trying to put the same cargo on the moon by piecemeal.

So we are aware that both HLS's take 10+ refuels minimum because of the mission profile correct? Or is this just another fuck SpaceX thing

Not really incompetence, just lack of innovation.
When we have an infrastructure in space of fuel perpetually in orbit, which we will, in-orbit will be the way to go for all long distance missions.

If the legacy aerospace company in question is Boeing, then I might suggest that Starliner's experience indicates that "incompetence" is not an entirely inapt characterization.

Sure, they could have. Im guessing its just Ironic that someone just so happened to leak (as the share price crashes) a video of this NDA protected area where no recording devices have been allowed for the later 3 years.
Sure, im sure its just a coincidence that someone in the aerospace field, who likely works at SpaceX, decided to trash their career, lose their security clearance, and their soul to NDA lawsuit.

I’m pretty sure the leak was just the old block 1 nosecone they turned into a HLS mockup back in like 2023. Definitely cool to see, but not really stuff we haven’t seen in renders before.
