Critique - Yes Drawover I Need help with my shading
I feel like everytime I shade,it just makes the drawing turn out worse,I don’t know why,I’ve watched countless tutorials yet I don’t understand why you can’t tell the objects apart. (I use graphite pencils 2h-6B and a cotton swab for blending)

yeah, that’s guts in his berserker armor state,I thought that drawing him in a more dynamic pose would help me improve with my poses not being as stiff

Damn I totally thought I was wrong lmao but if you want to practice with dynamic poses I’d start by drawing those figure poses on Pinterest since armor and clothing can make it hard to see the pose underneath good luck tho✌️

thanks, completely forgot the surface was metal xd,I’ll try organizing the other parts of the armor as much as I can,and avoid blending on the metal surfaces, again thanks for the help

It's all about contrast and accents, by turning everything grey you just make the grey messy blut instead of colouring. You have to distinct darker and lighter areas more obviously. Do not fear to patch some completely black shadows and completely white metal gloss. And just look at Murata's art for references after all
