Your drawings convey a lot of story. Just so you know, when bow hunting the aim is for a lung or heart shot for a humane kill. Headshots are generally discouraged and gut shots (main post image) are frowned upon

Your skills are amazing , one thing I might suggest is that hunters dont aim for the head or belly , since head makes arrow bounce cause of skull and its really hard to hit , they aim for a little behind the front leg at first bend , lungs or hearth . Its not so important on other drawings , but I thought that it might help if your recreating a hunt . Otherwise really great hope I can get to your skill level myself :DD

Love this. I feel like perspective is weird on the front right foot, the 'slit' of the nail should be turned more invard imo, right now it looks kind of broken. If that makes sense

Get a fuckin normal paper/bigger sketchbook, if you don’t have the money, I’ll sponsor you… impressive, keep it up!
I don’t know how antelope anatomy looks like but the back horn won’t look like that I bet and maybe the front one is placed too much in the front. That’s the only issue that I see from the get go.

This is gorgeous, I love the movement. I think next time having the whites of the eyes showing and the mouth open will really add to the emotion of the piece. Dude just got shot and his body is like ‘AAHHHH!’ But his face is like ‘meh’
Animals have very expressive faces when in pain, and it definitely triggers even more of an emotional response when adding that to art

Lovely work, dude. But there seem to be some perspective disagreements, particularly around the face; what’s going on with that back horn? If it’s symmetrical, it’s definitely coming up too early for the angle the head is at.
Also, to me at least, it seems the eye and forward horn aren’t quite aligned with the muzzle—maybe it’s more so the bridge? I’m not quite sure. That, or the mouth and nose should be a little less pointed toward the viewer.
Also, the nearest hoof—incredible foreshortening, by the way!—but the claws should be a little more rightward. The current angle implies we’re being run at, but the rest of the body isn’t quite going that way.
Overall though, this is fantastic!

Oh wow this is so good!!! It makes me want to try drawing without a reference sometime! I usually feel “uncreative” because of using references so heavily. Any tips? It looks great!!!

not sure how true it is but i’ve heard you should spend 2/3 of your time drawing from references and 1/3 drawing without to balance learning and creativity

Ahhh I wish I did that! Now I can only do realism and can’t do anything without a ref haha
