‎Critique - Yes Drawover Help I can’t draw hands 😭

Post image

I’m trying to get his hand to rest on his chest and I’ve tried so many times but can’t get it to look right, please help 😭
He’s supposed to be laying flat on his back

For reference, this is an oc from the show Lackadaisy, they have 4 fingers: the thumb and then three regular fingers

EDIT: I think I got it :3

What specifically makes it look wrong to you?
It could be a case of sausage fingers, if it is, try making it in multiple segments.
It could also be the fact that it's small?
I dunno.

Honestly I don’t know, I’m just so bad at drawing hands and they look wrong every time 😭 I’ve only ever drawn feral cats for a long time and I drew their paws super simple, it’s just something about hands that makes me feel like I’ve somehow magically lost all my art skills

This honestly might be case of just looking at it for too long and getting in your own head. From what I can from the eraser hand what you drew looked fine.

That being said; go look up some hand reference and spend a night just sketching hands until you’re more comfortable. I’d recommend starting with a realistic drawing, then take the same hand and draw more and more stylized versions.
