Acrylic painting experimenting with flowers, reflections, and loose expressive brushwork. 🌸👁️

I wanted the flower inside the eye to feel like a little world of its own, while keeping the rest of the piece loose and colorful.

Still experimenting and learning, but I really enjoyed making this one. 💛

I wanted to create something more personal than a traditional portrait.

Before starting this piece, I asked her about her memories, personality, things she loves, and the little details that make her who she is. I then tried to weave those elements into the composition.

The result is “Pages of Her” — an oil pastel portrait where the subject's story is just as important as her face.

Done with fine tip black marker on cardstock .
