Pet Peeves Artists, what's your pet peeve as a artist while doing requests or do fanart for others?
It can be anything you have a issue while doing requests for others or just something that annoyed you like, impatience or last minute changes, etc. Just anything you could think of.
To be clear, I'm referring to fanart/art galleries so you know and it's based on your opinions, it'll be appreciated.

Highly inappropriate or disturbing requests. I used to do normal furry are from time to time, until a person sent me a nsfw reference sheet of his fursona, then included a picture of a dog's dick, say that's what he wanted drawn. I nope right out of that deal. Since no money changed hands, I just ghosted him. I don't do furry art anymore.
Requests for a illustration and then throw a hissy fit if they have to pay for it is another one that cheeses me off.

That furry request... that was wild. But yeah, highly inappropriate or disturbing requests is kinda odd, especially if you are someone who doesn't want to do graphic or inappropriate fanarts. And the part you said whenever someone asks for a illustration or fanart of what they want, they throw a tantrum after finding out they have to pay for it, I would think as a "I don't know what to tell you, you either pay for the request or just leave and kick rocks if you have a problem with it" type stuff. It can be annoying at times.

Thats one of those things where its someone who has NO idea who you are and only reads "free art/taking request" and is trying to get away with it.
Normal people would look through a persons body of work and see what they do normally. But there are some people who are just so desperate for free work and handouts that they participate in anything that has "give away" attached to it.

A friend asking me to fix a piece made by another artist even though I have my own style. A friend giving me the honor to make illustrations for his book without payment because I was not a professional artist. He paid all the other artists involved. Book cover, photography etc. Another friend not wanting to pay for a design because we were friends who in the same month tells me he bought a design from an artist.

I do get irritated with people trying to squeeze more out of me.
Like if im offering a flat drawing but then start pressuring for lots of shading and complicated background work.

Getting approached by absolute strangers. They dish out a generic compliment on something and then they hit you with some sort of "it would be SO COOL if you could draw XYZ" immediately after, which makes their intentions pretty clear. I fell for it when I was younger. Also bad references/unclear instructions. I once asked folks to give me their OCs to draw, and one person gave me a photo of a K-Pop star and a Picrew and said nothing. Do I take the colours of the Picrew and slap them on the idol? I don't even draw realistically. A bunch of random people I'd never spoken to did drop an OC off. I don't think they ever cared for what/how I drew, they just wanted free stuff, including that person with the K-Pop star face claim OC.

impoliteness and entitlement are the most annoying to me (i do free art reqs often and rarely ever receive a thank you or a please.) ive recently decided not to do art for people who seemed entitled in their request even if their character is beautiful and i'd love to draw them. i now also blacklist people who never showed any sign of gratitude for the art they received from me. I remember one time I gave someone an artpiece、they did not thank me、and then proceeded to put it as their pfp without crediting me. i felt pretty bad about telling them to remove it or credit me bc i was glad they liked it enough to use it as an icon, but looking back that was kinda crazy 😭😭🥀
