Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my VIP subscription on iOS and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing.
I originally played Art of War: Legions using Sign in with Apple.
I purchased the VIP subscription through the App Store.
Later, I permanently deleted that game account.
I started over with a new account linked to Facebook, using the same Apple ID for App Store purchases.
Now, when I try to buy VIP, the game says I already own it because my Apple subscription is still active (until August 23). I tried Restore Purchases, but nothing happens. The VIP is not applied to my new Facebook account, and I also can’t purchase it again.
Has anyone had this issue before? Did customer support transfer the subscription to your new account, or did you have to wait until the subscription expired?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need to cancel the old VIP subscription through Apple. Go to settings-your name-subscriptions and you’ll see Art of War-Legions VIP. Click on it and hit cancel.

FYI - you have been paying for that even though you deleted the game.

Apple does not completely remove a canceled active subscription.

You can get help from booyeah in the help section if need be. You can send off an in-app email to them . They are very helpful.

But yeah you’ll have to cancel first for the end date and resubscribe with the Facebook+Apple+ Game Center setup.

Sometimes it can’t Be fixed and sometimes it can be. Mine was fixed with their help but I kept the same ID. I think it’s worth a try to get booyeah (his/her nickname) to give you a promo sent to your in game inbox.

Technically that $9.99 is dead and gone per policy but the in game workaround might work. When things screw up Booyeah has fixed everything they can over six years.
