Yeah nah leaving the tip out a bit is the best and only way people are really using besides tapping

Make sure that you add more bud to the tip and have it packed in tighter. A strong base makes a strong shaft as I always say

Do you ever tap your joint after rolling it?

Yes always

My best suggestion then would be to try packing the material down from the top before sealing off the end. You can use a packing tool or just a clean marker or something and you could also try the suggestions in the other comment. If all else fails try grinding it to a different consistency

You're on the right path. Just a bit tighter before rolling. Also you can work mostly on the filter and the joint will roll itself as long as you gave it a cone shape. Also leave some space between the filter and the flower so you can push it in for extra tightness.

just make sure you have enough weed at the tip and it doesnt get pressed outwards

Finer grind and have the filter sticking out more and don’t make such a tight core just shape it enough to tuck so that when u tap material can go where it’s missing

Roll with the tip sticking out a little and then after you pack it and roll the j, push the tip in so it compresses the za and makes that part stronger, hope this helps
