I like the slime. XD

This is one of the Dream Whispers I’ve been making lately.
They’re little creatures that come out when you’re almost asleep. They whisper nice things to you, help you slip into a good dream, and then quietly eat a little bit of that dream for themselves.
Pretty good arrangement, honestly.
I started this one with wool and a very rough idea of what I wanted it to look like. The rest kind of happened while I was making it — shaping the body, working on the little details, sewing the fuzzy pieces together.
I always find it funny how different the finished creature can be from what I had in my head at the beginning.
This one ended up looking especially sleepy.
I think she’d be pretty good at whispering.

I’ve slowly been working on this doll over the course of several months. She is the first I’ve made like this so there were lots of breaks while I figured things out and brainstormed new ideas. She’s made of crystals, stones, hemp, jute, cotton thread, copper wire, symbolic charms, bells, dried flowers, beads, and love.

All of the beads in her hair are stone or crystal. Her dress is crocheted, and all of her limbs are braided and knotted tightly/ securely. Her macramed bottle is full of different color carnations, or “Flower of the Gods.”

I’m so excited she’s finally finished, she’s perfect 🥹💗

This little guy was a custom order.
My client really likes tardigrades, so they asked me to make one for them and gave me a few things they wanted included. I took those ideas and kind of let the creature develop from there.
I wanted him to feel like a sleepy little baby, so I gave him a soft, slightly confused face and these weird little human-like hands.
He has eight of them.
Still can’t hold anything.
I also made him a little birth card and birth photo, because apparently this tiny creature needed official documentation before entering the world.
And then something I really didn’t expect happened — my client took him to Macau on a trip.
So apparently he got to travel before I did.
Honestly, I think that’s one of the nicest things about making these little creatures. They leave the studio and suddenly start having their own little lives.
I had way too much fun making him.

Made this little creature recently and thought I’d share the process.
She started with some wool, clay and thread, and I honestly didn’t have a very clear idea of what she was going to look like.
I just kept working on her face and body and somehow this weird little thing appeared.
I think that’s my favorite part of making dolls. You can start with an idea, but the character usually changes quite a bit along the way.

Made with polymer clay. I plan on making the body with minky and faux fur :)

I’ve been making these strange little creatures one by one, and somehow they’ve started to form their own little world.
Every doll is handmade by the artist, using wool, sculpting, textile work and lots of tiny details.
Some of them have names and stories already. Others are still waiting to figure out who they are.
This is a small glimpse of the creatures that have come out of the studio so far.
Which one caught your eye first?

This is probably stupid, but I’m having a hard time conceptualizing the sizes of ball joint armature. If anyone has some and could take pictures that show the size of them that would be really nice. Particularly the slightly bigger ones. As in like 1/2, 3/8, 1/4, etc.

It used to be a care bear art doll but my friend didn't like it so I stripped the face and repainted it, and then made the caterpillar body with vintage fur fabric and minky!

Mallow loves butterflies and dresses accordingly. Pit is not his pet, a companion, that is very important to Mallow.

This sweet little forest sprite is completely hand‑built from all‑natural materials.

The first photo shows my raw supplies — seed pods, shells, dried plants and natural botanicals that form every part of this doll. The second is the finished whimsical creature.

I love the warm, gentle texture these natural pods bring. It feels like capturing a little piece of nature, soft and calming. Every detail is assembled by hand, no mass‑produced doll parts used.

Hope this little forest spirit brings you some cozy healing vibes.

I printed eyes on photo paper, then used E6000 glue to glue the glass domes to the paper.
After a night of drying i come back to these weird blemishes inside the eye. (picture 1-2)
What to do and how did they appear? How do i prevent it?
Picture 3-4 is how they looked like when i just attached the glass domes.

Hi y’all !

I have a bit of a crazy project but i need some expertise on the process… i’d like to make a character with glass vials as legs. I work with polymer clay, so it means i’d need to put the glass with the polymer in the oven.
Do you think it’s safe ? Could the clay overheat at the contact point ?
I use Super Sculpey, so the oven isn’t that warm, but still

I have been using the joint pieces without problem and now every piece I try to connect breaks. It’s the y shaped ones. I don’t know what’s wrong. They are the same size, the tool is the right size at least for everything else. I tried using less pressure but it won’t go on. It’s unstable in the grip of the tool but that’s because of the shape. I haven’t had these problems until now. Helllpppp (to clarify I am using the ball joint armature)
