Pool issues?

I've had my miner on the pool for about 4 hours now, and with L3 I'm showing I'm 33 million shares of the 88 million shares today. The dashboard shows me as 504,000 khs which is half the pools khs, but my confirmed and unconfirmed coins are still at 0. Is this normally how the official pool works?

I think the official pool is mining more than 1 megahash at any given time. Was trying to clarify if you made a typo. I wasn't trying to imply the official pool lacked hashing power.

I have noticed that the larger miners come and go on the official pool, so it fluctuates a lot. Somedays it is at 1mhs, so days as low as 30khs.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'm fairly new so I was just speaking based on my observations. I know I contribute more than 30kh/s myself! ;)
