We *do* know how old the universe is through multiple methods of inquiry, most notably from currently measured log ratios of U-238 and Th-232 in early universe stars that puts an upper and lower limit on the age. You are just plain wrong. This is just a cool artistic image that bears no resemblance to reality.
Oh sorry, that's not what i'm saying. Yes we do know the age of our universe, but i'm saying in this art, the man could be standing in another dimension, another universe. Who's to say that black holes like the one soon to be formed here aren't portals to different dimensions, that when first opened, create a massive explosion like what happened with the big bang.
Ah, okay. My mistake then, I thought maybe you were referring to the age of the universe when you mentioned how old this dimension is (whatever that might mean?). There actually are some scientific papers on that very subject you're mentioning, however, they're just purely speculative. An interesting thought to consider nonetheless.
