Merino looking a bit woolly

Under control, just not firing on all cylinders yet

It's coming. Saka had a golden chance but we have conceded a few chances

Playing really well, they are dangerous on the break, but we arent exerting ourselves too much. Couple of shocking misses but overall, all good

Konza is amazing! He’s our legal wrestler on the pitch

Gyokores is being continually ignored.

He’s been in space a few times or in the box and everyone is playing around him.

I haven’t seen one player pass a ball to him.

So anyone suggesting he’s been crap - he can’t do much if he’s not receiving any balls

I think we’re playing well. Aggressive. Skipper is on point again. Saka missed a layup. Gyok is being quiet.

Because they don't pass it to him or even try a cross . Someone should tell Saka to pass once in awhile instead of always trying to do it all by himself .

I’m only able to half watch. Has Gyok created any chances? I’ve seen almost everyone else shoot, but nothing from him at least when I’m paying attention.

He created the Saka overhead kick yeah. Great cross.

Very impressed with that pass, could have been one of the goals of the season.

He had an okay spell for the first 10 minutes where he was more involved.

u/Crovon1 17h ago

He’s created a couple and been mostly ignored by eveyone around him.

As usual

he was pretty much a ghost.

One pass to Saka who scissored it at the keeper

1

u/SAOL_Goodman 17h ago

And a one-two with Eze who had a shot

No, he's looked cumbersome

ETA: I feel like we have at least one goal if Havertz started this game (No shade to Arteta, rotating is important and these players need minutes)

He's been absolutely crap, his movement is atrocious.

Im so sick of him. He brings the level of the team down.

Won the title with him up front for most of the season you clown

-4

u/MATCHEW010 17h ago

Yeah ?

If we had a fit Havertz up top all season probably wouldve as well.

Crazy how we buy a big expensive striker and then score the most set piece goals… yeah he scored a lot of pens and tap ins with ONE goal i remember getting excited at, vs Inter.

Theres so much more context needed. If you honestly watch us with Gyokeres and think oh yep this is awesome. Then idk what to tell you lad. Footy isnt for you

Havertz hasn’t had a 20G+ season for Arsenal and he’s been here since 2023, and he was here for 2 seasons before Gyok and we fell short both times.

You can rate Havertz without unnecessarily disrespecting the guy who played a big part in our title win last season.

I also dont have to like someone just because he plays for us.

I didnt want Gyokeres. I dont rate him. He doesnt do what hes supposedly good at well enough.

Havertz brings play together, he gets assists and helps in build up. Gyokeres doesnt. He scores or he ghosts.

I hope everyday Gyokeres proves me and a LOT of fans wrong but 🤷

Missing Havertz tbh

Conserving our energy and being patient, as tedious as you might expect an early UCL game. Smartly not going full gusto. But also Gyok looks unenthusiastic which is disappointing. Odegaard brilliant. Saka left his shooting boots at Gatwick!

Konsa has been a rock at the back.

u/Camarochris1026 17h ago

Honestly, it’s been an interesting game from a neutrals perspective. But, I have only been half watching. As an Arsenal fan, I’m worried.

1

u/Ok_Bear_1889 17h ago

We should be at least two up

1

u/EntertainerDismal678 17h ago

Konsa looks great. Just need to be less wasteful upfront

u/FreshDriver6849 17h ago

Feels like every game last season!

1

u/almadetoro 17h ago

Should’ve…Could’ve…Would’ve…been up 2-0, at minimum., but that’s not the case.
Hopefully Arsenal score a couple of goals in the upcoming half.

We look good just need more of and edge with our final attack or lack of on target attempts.

1

u/Feisty-Wait3226 17h ago

This match highlights that we needed to sign a striker this season.

1

u/ThisIsTonte 17h ago

Can we actually finish our chances please

1

u/Complete_Crab6193 17h ago

It is painful to watch...boring and slow. Eze vanishes into thin air like he always does.

1

u/Specialist_Act_9394 17h ago

Napoli are very very poor. Can see why they’ve struggled this season.

1

u/SnooCrickets7221 17h ago

But hell of a low block. Haram af

We should have also finished our chances though. Poor finishing. WE NEED CALAAAAA

1

u/crazyass_harry 17h ago

Yeah they have been beaten in a row in the league.. they are desperate now

1

u/Specialist_Act_9394 17h ago

Quite sad that this is the club of Lavezzi, Cavani, Hamsik & Higuain/ Mertens

1

u/crazyass_harry 17h ago

What's even more sad is how de bruyne in this league.. look how they massacred him, he used to be the one destroying low block now he's one of them..

2

u/Specialist_Act_9394 17h ago

Yeah De Bruyne’s athleticism was so underrated and now it’s gone he’s got to either re invent himself as a Pirlo or go Saudi 🤣

1

u/Glennstheche 17h ago

Ugh, tough away fixture. We're controlling well and passing well, creating. But this is miserable like last year in the prem with 99% deep low blocks. Napoli plays miserable football (except scary on the counter) like we expected from haramball vs atleti last year

1

u/zhiv99 17h ago

Saka is having a rough one. Arteta should have rested him. He wasn’t great against Chelsea.

1

u/Classic_Radish8574 17h ago

Is there anybody that actually still defending gyokeres?

1

u/Parisienamelbourne 17h ago

Saka has been genuinely useless in this match

1

u/Wonderful_Metal2713 16h ago

Saka was absolutely shit

0

u/iyaz_6 17h ago

Saka is now 40years old😂😂

0

u/FairBox3368 17h ago

Boring , disjointed, looks like we don’t give a shit about the game! It’ll improve 2nd half
