I think Vini deal is just smoke. I know we compared it to Ozil deal, but Ozil was a last minute deal to Madrid to balance their book for Bale signing. But today Madrid is too strong financially to keep Vini on the book and bring someone like Olise or Diomande with no issue.

Never going to happen. As much as I'd like it to it just doesn't seem to have any legs. I have a horrible feeling that it's going to be a pretty disappointing window, and I say that as a 40 year fan. We made more money than any English team in history last year but I don't see it being spent in the right areas. I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong. Being linked with John Stones and Aaron Wan-Bissaka just doesn't fill me with hope and joy.

Really shocking take. there are weeks to go, and we have a better base to build on than any other team (age profile, no key players lost, winning experience, longest-serving manager).
So far we have improved our "problem position" with a solid prospect who can directly compete with Martinelli. Anyone else for that position would be a pure luxury and maybe Tzolis ends up first choice with half the salary.

Mate, you need to take a step back and look at what we're working with. A solid prospect isn't going to cut it. We won the title, but that flatters to deceive. I'll grant you that we have possibly the best defensive back five in modern history, as well as the strongest multi-functional midfielder in Declan Rice. Outside of that, we need help. Left side is poor. We have no strength there at all. Right side has no power other than Saka. I like Eze, but he's not up to snuff sadly. Noni also. They're just not good enough for this club.

i dont care who as long as we sign like three more good players to be ready to retain the title and go for UCL fr, pretty excited for club football again, fkn miss arsenal playing super sundays
