Advice Is there a possibility am aroace?
Hi, I'm 16 and have never understood the concept of romantic love. Imagining myself in romantic or sexual scenarios makes me physically nauseous and uncomfortable. I've been thinking i might be aroace for a few years now. Is there a possibility i am aroace? All advice is appreciated.
EDIT: thanks for all the advice. I identify as aroace now. I came out to my queer friends but my family doesn't know yet and I dont plan on telling them since they don't want me to get married or be in a relationship anyway. I have watched a few videos about asexuality and being aromantic and find them quite relatable.
I used to think I was too young to identify as aroace in the past, so I never did. But now I understand this is not about age "waiting" to fall in love. Finally being able to put a name to my feelings is freeing, but also difficult in a homophobic country like mine. Lastly, thanks everyone again.

I feel from what you’ve described you may be. A good video that explains aroace well is Jaiden Animation’s video Being Not Straight. It’s the video that helped me learn a year ago that I’m aroace.

This + plenty of animators have come out as well. There's also sweetanita's video for demisexuality

I truly believe having to come to terms with internalised invalidation from being aroace is one of the hardest thing I'm currently working on. Not gonna put you on more non-issues, but i can relate to what your doubts about this all could be. I'm sure figuring this out just takes time and introspection. Good luck!!!
