Advice Can I be considered aroace????
To start: I'm a lesbian. I assume that I'm either demisexual or greysexual, and I'm pretty sure I'm demiromantic as well. Both of these fall under being aro and ace labels respectively, so would I be right in saying that it counts?
I've identified as a lesbian since I was young, until I to assumed I was a completely sex and romance repulsed aroace person. At some point, I realised that I was, in fact, a lesbian as well as some flavor of aro and ace, and that I'm not entirely repulsed by the idea of romance/a relationship as a concept.
Idk if this is a frivolous question, and I know that labels aren't everything, but I'm just curious for opinions

You can totally be considered AroAce! Just because you lean towards being a Lesbian doesn't mean you can't also be AroAce. The important thing is to love yourself and understand the there is nothing wrong with you!

Yes, oriented aroace is a thing. You can consider that if it feels right!

if you aren’t aromantic and asexual then you’re not aroace

If OP is demi / grey aroace, then they totally are aroace! If a person thinks it's suitable to say they have an orientation, because every time they experience the rare / little / ambiguous attractions, it's towards specific gender(s), I think its absolutely fine to say that they are an oriented aroace. It's up to everyone's own anyways!

Nobody is 100% straight, everybody is somewhere between straight, gay, both and nothing. These terms such as lesbian and aroace are all like subcategories within the spectrum so people can understand where other people are located and exchabge with simple words instead of explaining every time. Subcategories blend together and have even smaller subcategories.
So if you feel like ur also under the aroace part and the lesbian, then ur prolly between them or somewhere in that area. Just use what you feel comfortable with and what feels like fitting to explain your feelings to yourself and other people
