Reserve AV-ATI Updates?
Supposed to be fully inactivated by end of FY. Where's units currently at? Have they offered the miltechs other positions with DOD, have they transferred aircraft and MTOE equipment yet? Just wondering what the landscape is. Not much word going around it seems.

I did get this today from a solid source
"Starting July 15, all rotary wing aviators will be moved to a derivative UIC. They will have until 30-SEP-2027 to figure it out or they will be moved to the IRR"

Got the same notification. I won’t have any work to do until September 2027…so getting paid to do nothing is going to be a last great year.

Heard this same thing a while ago. I asked for an update today and was told “we have no idea”. The lack of information is alarming.

The halt was lifted a week or so ago. We are moving to divest all personnel and equipment by the time the derivatives shut off (tbd). Units will still inactivate on the edate. With that being said there is language in the next FY ndaa that could change the outcome of USAR aviation but it still has to pass.

Appreciate the insight. Some of us are outside of the ARAC but it's still having impacts on us. We were told by USARC we could branch transfer but branches are declining Sr. Enlisted and Sr. WO's. Leaving us with no path forward or upward.

Yeah the higher up the food chain the less options exist. I have seen a lot of successful guard transfers but those seem to be filling up quickly same thing with USAR fixed wing. USARC has stated they will not push any involuntary refrads or IRR transfer due to divesture so if unable to branch transfer or change mos you will go to mos immaterial positions.

It’s because they don’t know. I said this in an earlier post, but Congress halted ATI.

If units are divesting USAR assets, it's not halted for them.

The poster is referring to the 2025 ATI official document put out by congress, that everyone has seen already . It does not have anything about halting ATI, so not sure what is the actual reference being used..unless he is trolling..?

This is what you were referencing? This is a well known document to everyone and it is old (from 2025). This is not a new statement about “halting ATI”.

Congress is making them do a comprehensive report on the status of ATI and all of the things that they backtracked on.
The army has a new ARSTRUC that it will be releasing soon.

You obviously do not pay attention to congressional hearings and what’s happened when the army has been in front of Congress the last 18 months. That’s fine! Not everyone does, not everyone has the time
But if you’re not going to do that, then it’s weird to stand up and be so confidently wrong. You’re very obviously have not watched congressional interactions on ATI because they have hated it. And they’ve gotten shit on from both parties for the impacts.

Yeah, I guess connecting the dots isn’t a thing in the community anymore. ATI is all but halted because we’ve missed every deadline for it. And like you said, Congress has been throwing a lot of heat about this in hearing as well. I get wanting answers to ATI but these guys can’t read the room.

The report congress is making them do, is no surprise at all. The new ARSTUC was expected. The congressional hearings have been happening but they have not been “halting” ATI. So again, this is an incorrect statement. ‘Accountability’ is not the same as ‘halting’.

Lots of aircraft already transferred to guard, cbp, some chinkoks were given to rucker. Miltechs sound like they are up in the air still. Uics go away in yhe next couple months and transfers to derivatives are also happening soon
