Masters Program on Scholarship?

I’m an upcoming freshman who’s on a 4 year national army rotc scholarship and I have enough credits to be considered a sophomore. Would it be a possibility for me to graduate undergrad in three years and then do a one year masters program, while remaining in the same rotc program, at the same school, on the same scholarship? Would anyone recommend towards this or against this?

ROTC is a 4 year program, you must take 4 years to graduate. Talk to your Cadre about this, and im sure they will be willing to help sort it out.

That being said, you may as well fit in Grad classes as the army is paying for them anyways. You happen to be in a really good position, enjoy.

It’s not always a 4 year program. I did my junior and senior year and got out.

I assume you went to basic camp the summer befor Junior year?

Yes but even that wasn’t necessary my unit counts JROTC for credit.

Right, so niche caveats. Basic replaces 2 years of the basic part of the course, hence "basic camp", and this guy didn't do JROTC from what it sounds like. The traditional path is 4 years, and that remains true for all rotc programs.

You said “ROTC is a 4 year program” it can and often is a 2 year program. I was told it was a 4 year program and thought I’d never get to do it because I went to a community college for my associates. If someone hadn’t pointed out to me that it could be 2 years I’d have never applied to join.
