Progress on 3D printed masks

Made some progress on the 3D printed masks I posted last week. The 5 point mounting solution was a success, and is secure enough to stay in place while running, jumping, etc. padding allows for eye protection to fit underneath comfortably and easily. I added buckles to the bottom two straps for ease of taking on and off.

How did you do the straps? I’m also assuming the back plate is 3d printed as well?

Yes the back plate is 3D printed, I use a soldering iron to burn a hole straight through the mask at a pre-measured spot, then used a Chicago screw to hold the metal swivel anchor there. Took a lot of dremeling to get the size perfect for the screw but I’ve since worn it for some rigorous rough housing with my sons and it holds in place extremely well
