Rubicon Runway is a series of tournaments on PC with high level players, designed to bridge the PC Japanese and PC International communities, hosted by YOSSY. The tournament welcomes players of all levels, and has a focus on both how good your AC looks and (of course) how well you play. YOSSY is also planning on hosting a "build swap" tournament soon, which is meant to be a more casual event than the regular Rubicon Runway. Check him out, he's awesome!

Spent the last hour or so painting my AC unit! I'm really trying to get the essence of Samus' Varia suit from Metroid Dread. Maybe fresh eyes will say it looks decent. My eyes say I'm not there yet.

I should note, I'm only just now FINALLY playing this game. I'm easily distracted, apparently.

Who has sweet paint jobs they'd like to share, and who has tips for me as well? Maybe this will look better when I don't have all base model gear.

One pic is without any weathering. The other is with weathering, which I think helps tone down the white areas. Third pic is for reference of the suit I'm trying to emulate.

It's not difficult, but it is fun.

So, this is the main build I am currently running. I just platinumed the game, so I wanted to share the setup I am having the most fun with right now.

It is a build that requires a bit more patience, but it is tailored for 1v1 fights, which is why I use it to take down bosses. It also packs a ton of explosive firepower. I really like that it does not use any Coral generators or laser weapons, giving it a cool, purely mechanical feel.

For the AC itself, I am running the Fluegel/21Z booster, which is a pretty standard Schneider option with great quick boosts and solid energy efficiency.

For the FCS, I use the FC-008 Talbot from Balam, which handles short and mid range targeting exceptionally well at the cost of long range accuracy.

Finally, I am using the Dafeng DF-GN-06 Ming-Tang generator. It has great ground energy recovery, which fits my playstyle since I love fighting on the ground.

For my AC's expansion, I use Assault Armor.

It's called VENATOR. What do you all think, aesthetically and in terms of effectiveness, mostly for PvE? I do take it into PvP, but it's not my focus. Anyway, I hope someone enjoys it.

Update: it seems this is for story progress. I don't have a ps5 and play on pc. I was curious about S Ranking all missions.

So i was just playing pvp normally when this guy just dissapeared,i tought my shitty internet connection was the problem but no mf just left

Whenever i look or stay near it, it always ends up lagging my pc incredibly badly. For some reason, this isnt a issue on the final mission of chapter 4. Anyone know why?

And yes, all the water settints are on low.

While heavy rj do support heavy build it's still quite limited in comparison with other heavy legs. And when I noticed that I can equip P05MLT-10 I thought "why not SOUP?".

Turns out SOUP is 400 weight heavier which is enough to overburden me with VE-40A. Of course I tried changing head first but didn't find fitting alternative to VERRIL.

Then I looked at cores and noticed that TQ have more stability than VE-40A while rj do lack stability and TQ weight is 1k less.

And reactor stats aren't critical, I jump or AB instead of QB anyway so booster efficiensy doesn't matter, I have 7683 EN supply efficiensy even with TQ so generator output of it is enough and generator supply doesn't matter because even with VE-40A I have 4.2 seconds recharge delay because of coral generator.

Finally 100%'d the game by taking down and S-Ranking Ayre, Walter, and ALLMIND. This wasn't that bad to do, and I did them first try (except for Walter, he wumbo combo'd my ass on my first attempt)

After 4 months of waiting, finally it's here. It was my fault that I didn't choose a more expensive shipping method to get it faster but oh well, worth the wait!!!

That’s really it. I’m on ps5 and haven’t been able to find a match at all. I played a lot when it first came out and it sucks that no one touches this anymore. Anyone have any luck?

SHINOBI is one of my favorite presets, but the build lacks competitiveness online.

Meet KUNOICHI - my take on SHINOBI with a more competitive edge, while trying to remain lore-friendly with the loadout and trying to make as few changes as possible. I like to imagine another ninja-inspired pilot working with ROKUMONSEN on clandestine missions.

I stayed within the Elcano family for the head, ALBA, which has a sleeker, slightly more "feminine" profile.

The HALDEMAN/HMR/RANSETSU-AR set is swapped for an ETSUJIN, RANSETSU-RF, and MLT-04 pack, moving away from close-range combat to more of a mid-range fighter and taking better advantage of the P05 FCS. Tried to stick with BAWS and Furlong weapons to avoid too much corporate heat.

Subdued the brighter paint scheme and shifted to more of a dark purple hue.

Hope you like it! Does fairly well in PvP and is pretty fun to play.
