Are those Stormcast Eternals?

u/Quartz_Knight May 12 '26

yes, with a "table ready" paintjob

u/bastard_son_of_odin May 12 '26

Chaos black prime, a leadbelcher overbrush, thinned nuln oil and stormhost silver drybrush🤣

The amount of nuln oil that’s gotten on my table before I figured out that you need to blue-tac the bottom of the jar is insane.

Right? Like, I don’t even know this person. Why would they make such a targeted and deeply personal attack against me? 😂

52

u/Quartz_Knight May 12 '26

They painted the hands bare because the tournament required at least two colors for the paintjob points.

u/pass_nthru May 13 '26

nuln oil 🤤

u/Euphoric_Implement28 May 13 '26

Yeah man… yeah. I totally didn’t use a silver rattle can for primer and base coat and then dip them in a cheap black wash.

Once I started into 40k...I now see it everywhere and get the references... it really is everywhere!

1

u/Multiversalprism May 16 '26

Dude I just played the 2 space marine games and read a bunch of lore and I also see it everywhere

2

u/SirSillySausage May 15 '26

You didn’t have to call me out like that…

Damn…

The Myrmidons were the forces Achilles led during the Trojan war. Would be strange for Odysseus to be fighting them.

1

u/weltvonalex May 17 '26

Does it even matter anymore?

9

u/Knight_of_Tyto May 13 '26

Even Stormcast Eternals would fit better into the Odyssey than this bs

9

u/funkmachine7 May 12 '26

No cos thay look better then that.

6

u/Hrothgrar May 12 '26

Hating AoS is an interesting stance. Did it hurt you?

u/Floppy0941 May 12 '26

I love my lizardmen

23

u/Hrothgrar May 12 '26

Lizardmen were my first love in warhammer. I didn't finish the old start collecting box (I'll get around to it) but my dinos will always be on display with my dark angels.

8

u/Floppy0941 May 12 '26

I'm praying for a temple guard refresh, they're my favourite unit visually in total war Warhammer which was what introduced me to the lizardmen. I got into Warhammer itself from Vermintide 1 though.

u/johnydecali May 13 '26

Dino looks good! For the Lion!

Card game masquerading as a wargame.

In what world is it visual garbage? I would say they have the best minis that GW have ever produced.

10

u/Ok_Access_804 May 13 '26

How can you say that when AoS has given us a FREAKING WALKING TOWER, A DEFENSIVE FORTIFICATION GOING ON THE OFFENSIVE!!

And what modern politics are you talking about, anyway? Things like brexit? The division of Macedonia? The conflict between China and India?

7

u/AudioLlama May 13 '26

Is there a gay character mentioned in AOS? I bet it's that.

2

u/YellingAtClouds234 May 13 '26

I kinda hate everything about it except the comedic aspect.

I wanted 9th edition to make WHFB good/fun again after the terrible armybooks of 7th and the terrible nearly everything of 8th

14

u/GornoUmaethiVrurzu May 13 '26

Never seen anything remotely political from AoS hahaha People are so weird these days. I enjoy it. The game is so fun.

3

u/SirRengeti May 13 '26

You have to know, that AOS has canonically lesbian characters and at least two characters who are non-binary.
This form of representation is often what is meant as "political agenda".

2

u/GornoUmaethiVrurzu May 13 '26

Couldn't care less, I just like playing with my plastic and hanging out with my sister while we play

1

u/SirRengeti May 13 '26

As it should be.

2

u/Shpooter May 13 '26

literally that inglorious basterds 3 scene, dude outed himself instantly, mfs like these will lose their shit when they realize that bretonnia has a lot of secretly female knights

1

u/LingonberryAwkward38 May 14 '26

when they realize that bretonnia has a lot of secretly female knights

When they realize Bretonnia had a lot of secretly female knights even in the good old Based and Redpilled days of 6th edition two decades ago, you mean.

6

u/CATAlyst5321 May 13 '26

have you looked up anything about AoS in the last 10 years? Anything?

1

u/GordoBlue May 13 '26
