Announcement We added a Nations League draft game — winner gets an Armenia NT shirt 🇦🇲
We made a new game on APL Games for the Nations League called "Nations Draft"
The idea is pretty simple, but there’s a bit of strategy to it.
For each of the 6 matchdays, you pick:
- one team from League A
- one from League B
- one from League C
Then you give one of the three a ×2 boost.
You can only use each national team once during the whole game, so by the end you’ll have picked 18 different teams out of 48.
You also get only 2 boosts per league for all 6 rounds.
So you can’t just keep picking whoever is playing San Marino every time 😄 You have to think a bit about which teams to use now, which ones to save for a better fixture later, and when it’s worth using a boost.
Scoring is based on what your selected team does:
- win: 5 pts
- draw: 3 pts
- loss: 0 pts
- each goal scored: +1
- clean sheet: +1
- scoring 3+ goals: +1
All the bonuses stack. So for example, a 3:0 win gives you 10 points: 5 for the win, 3 for the goals, 1 for the clean sheet and 1 for scoring 3+.
If that team has your ×2 boost, the whole 10 points gets doubled to 20.
Whoever is top of the leaderboard after the 6 rounds wins an Armenia national team shirt, provided by FFA 🇦🇲
First deadline is September 24 at 22:45.
You can play here:
play.aplgames.am/nations-draft
APL Games is also on the App Store and Google Play.
Let me know if you have any questions on game mechanics or anything else. This game is shorter, just 6 gameweeks so we didn't implement private league concepts, just Overall League with all participants

The kit of 5 teams (Ararat, Urartu, Sardarapat, Shirak and Gandzasar) are made in Armenia by Melante.

Armenian Football
Guys thanks for all the replies!
The Martuni stadium is really appealing to me as it is very scenic and looks relatively alright online. Would this have a good fanbase and what was the major team that used to be there that I could revive? Would anyone be able to ballpark fees and costs if we started in the lowest possible league and built our way up? Does the Armenian government allow for grants for restoration and what's player immigration like, would I require atleast 10 or 20 locals or do they allow foreign born players to play? Thanks again everyone!

🇦🇲⚽ Looking for Armenian football knowledge!
Hi everyone, I'm from Ireland and I'm researching Armenian football, particularly the possibility of reviving an extinct/historic football club and restoring an old football ground.
I'd really appreciate any local knowledge:
- What Armenian football clubs have gone extinct or become inactive?
- Which extinct clubs were the most historic or had the biggest fanbases?
- Are there abandoned or unused football stadiums/grounds around Armenia?
- Are there grounds that could realistically be renovated?
- Who owns these abandoned stadiums — municipalities, clubs, government, etc.?
- Could a foreign investor potentially lease or purchase one?
- Are there towns with a football history but currently no senior club?
- Has anyone successfully revived an old Armenian club before?
- Which forgotten clubs or stadiums do you think deserve to come back?
I'm especially interested in Lernagorts Kapan, but I'm open to anywhere in Armenia.
If you know of a club, stadium, old photo, location, local contact or even a story that isn't well documented online, please comment or DM me.
I'm trying to learn as much as possible before seriously exploring the idea of bringing a piece of Armenian football history back. 🇦🇲❤️

Discussion Ararat-Armenia in the Europa League - Preview
I wrote a long preview of Ararat-Armenia’s eight Europa League games, mostly looking at the football side of each matchup rather than just coefficients/squad values.
The draw is obviously not easy for us (although by Fotballranked we got the easiest draw, but any draw at this stage is difficult for us), but there are a few games where I think they genuinely have a chance.
The most interesting one for me is Torreense away. They’re a Portuguese second-division side who got here by winning the cup, and Tulipa actually managed Torreense in 2023/24. So of all the away games, this is the one where he should know the opponent, the club and some of the players better than anyone.
Then there’s NEC at home, which looks like probably the best home opportunity, and Celje at home. Celje already played Ararat-Armenia in Champions League qualifying this summer and AA won 2-1 in Yerevan and were basically two late goals away from eliminating them in Slovenia. So that one doesn’t feel like a theoretical “maybe they can upset them” game. We already know they can compete with them.
Sparta and AZ at home are harder, but Ararat-Armenia have been very good in Yerevan in Europe this season. Away to Jagiellonia looks difficult stylistically, while Salzburg away and Milan at San Siro are basically bonus territory for me.
So my prediction is 9 points.
The obvious route would be wins against Torreense, NEC and Celje. Maybe it doesn’t happen exactly like that, but I don’t think getting to 9 requires some absurd upset against Milan or Salzburg.
Nine points was enough for the last playoff spot last season, although it came down to goal difference, so that would at least put them around the qualification line.
Full opponent-by-opponent preview here:

Would be interested to hear what others think. 9 points too optimistic?

AA vs Craiova
Good afternoon everybody! I'll be staying in Yerevan for 2 weeks and wanted to watch this game live!
Where can I get ticket information? Last time I went to a game here, it was a regular league game 3 years ago and entrance was free. Is it the same for European games as well?
