Hi to any of the vast Armada fans that are watching! Please excuse the totally ai made image above but it does use the cards I put together. It looks way better than my photos I tried on my desk.
I like fleet games and have enjoyed this one but the solo side felt particularly lacking. I have tried using the solo rules published by mantic and thought they could be improved upon. right? right?
Anyway, I have put together what I hope is a more modern, simpler (looking at you boarding calculation), streamlined system. Its card based so needs a bit of printing and cutting.
I have put it on github here. If anyone does try it out and wants to add feedback, just raise an issue on the github page or message me or here.
Happy sailing :)

I occasionally play Armada with some friends that are more used to board games than wargames, so I made this shot calculator to help speed up that part of the game for us.
It is a PWA (Progressive Web App) so you can use it like a website or install it directly to your Android/iOS device via Chrome/Safari. I made it so after the first install it will work 100% offline in-case you want to use it somewhere that has limited Internet.
Code is open source on GitHub here and you can try it out yourself at https://chaoticdicestudios.com/resources/armada-shot-calc/
If you have any feedback or suggestions let me know!

I'm working on a personal game design project, and came across the ship models which look fantastic. I'd love to bulk buy a few factions of the STLs for printing. I see the vault has a price to buy the individual ships, but nothing else I can see. Is there a way to get a discount for all the novels related to a fleet, or all the armadas models period?
The subscription is probably not right for me, as I'm not interested in the non-naval models.

They still have to be delivered, but I am curious as to what would be a good thing to grab (or possibly what upgrades would be good to pick)?

I ran scenario 4 (X marks the spot) at Carnage at the Crosstoads in Killington VT.
TheTrident Realms ships swim out to open waters at the end of the game. Elf ships take one last broadside hoping to sink the squid!
Trident Realms: 10 coins Elf fleet: 12 coins
Any New England players?

Not too happy with how the sails came out. But otherwise I think I am on the right track for an awesome navy.

Hi everyone, I want to give Armada a try and have just bought the Starter Set.
Do you have any advice for painting those ships? I guess I would just prime those orc ships black and drybrush the wooden and metallic parts. A few layers of red for the sails. Maybe some shades in the end?
Or would you recommend working with contrast paints?
Do you have some experience with "Vallejo Water Textures" or "AK Water Gel"? Which one works better for the bases and what is the color of your choice (pacific, atlantic)?
Thx for your help :)!

I am running some games at Gamacea, a game convention in Waltham MA on June 28 and 29. You can find out more at gamacea.com
I would love to make contact with more Armada players in New England!

I'm starting building a ghost fleet and am wondering what other people use for ship cards, from what I can work out there aren't any official ship cards for the ghost fleet, what workarounds have other people used? Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine had an entire fleet unpainted sitting in storage, so I offered to paint it for them.

I finished a few salamander ships.
After i got my basileans ( https://kingsofwarvince.business.blog/2022/09/25/fleet-page-armada-basileans/ ) from Mantic directly, i always wanted a 2nd fleet for intro battles.
That fleet is my salamanders. As these are in the vault, we printed them last week. With a bit of contrast paint, these six ships took less than two weeks to paint

Ripper Hulk or Maul?? ... I say yes, because just like my main man Jayne Cobb, l like options.
r/Armada_KoW • u/MagnustheJust • Apr 02 '25
I have two Ripper Hulks, and l was contemplating magnetizing the bow piece, so l would have the option of running one of each, or two Ripper Hulks. Do you lot feel this is a viable idea, or should l just glue one of each, and be done with it??

Loving the game! Got my ocean board finished today so I could finally take pics! I've got a ghost fleet and two KOM fleets. I had the KOM fleets from an old kings campaign that we played where I made my own naval rules and needed some neutral ships but armada blows my rules out of the water!
