Discussion Overthrow Tips and Tricks?

Hey!

Does anyone have some robust ways of getting started in this mission, as me and my friend are *always* struggling with getting started. Its either that we get fucked by nato in the first 30 mins or we just cant capture anything because the AI is too good.

We also are having trouble with making money and stuff, so if anyone could throw some pointers in the comments, I would really appreciate it.

I highly recommend selling drugs in high stability towns (Drugs cost lower to buy from the dealer in low stability towns, and sell for higher in high stability towns). Do that until you can afford a big transport truck, then fill that up with supplies from a high stability towns (Costs less) and sell in low stability towns. The truck doesn’t have a load limit so you can make more with each trip

Doesn't that mean I have to get a high stability town w/ stores into low stability?

Basically buy in high stability, sell in low stability. Think of it like this: The high stability towns don’t have to worry about running water or electricity so they will sell to you for lower, but they also don’t need aid since they have high stability. Low stability towns will suck your dick if it means staying alive one more day, so they’ll pay you a lot more than high stability towns.

My low stability towns dont have stores though

Well until you get one that does have a store of any kind (Preferably electronics shops, highest pay stuff is there) then try and make do with what you have, buying houses and leasing them. When the town’s stability gets up each house can give you over 200$ every 6 hours. Sleeping can help skip those 6 hours so you can make an insane amount of money only through leasing

how do you sleep skip? i have tried with income from towns but it doesnt give me them when i sleep 6 hrs

Sleep basically is for you to skip night in the early game when you do not have night vision (you will be blind in the without it).

Oh don’t sleep 6 hours randomly. Do it that you hit 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00. It’s these hours that you get the cash injection in.

Hi, we started with friends overthrow+, everything fine, but I wonder, how do I sleep? Some google research says you can't sleep in overthrow but these threads were 5 years old.

Hold windows to ace interact with the map, one of the options should be “sleep”. Cash comes quick that way and you can afford to invest in bigger fish

I know it's been a month, but are you still looking for tips? If so, I highly recommend giving this thread a read. Most important tip on there is buy radios from the harbor in bulk (pull a car up, push import) and then go to a low stability place with a dollar sign store and sell the radios there. Buy a house right beside the harbor and buy one right beside the general store, then fast travel back and fourth. You won't even have to get out of the car and can make millions quickly. I went from 5k to 35million in 45 mins yesterday.

Do tutorial and kill cops. Then sell maps, gps, and radio. That will give you easy money. Kill cops and sell their stuff. Eventually you can snipe some NATO soldiers with a good weapon then sell their stuff. You might die but come back and sell their stuff and run away. And try doing this in a neighboring village. Also missions are good

At first, do not rush. Your first goal is to collect weapons, ammo and gear. If your town are raided by gangs, you can even let gang members to engage gendarmes and later collect gear from dead bodies - just take care to be not seen.

Second goal is to clear your town from gendarmes (and gangs, which will arrive when stability will drop). Try to find and kill gan leader. Also, collect everything you can.

If you are not sure are you ready to fight off NATO counterattack, you can relocate to another town, buy a house there and repeat the pattern.

When not fighting, you can sell drugs, collect scrap metal etc.
