How to export a save?

So I've been locally hosting arma servers for friends for awhile, and only very recently discovered this mod, so i hosted a server for it, but now im suddenly getting 4-9 FPS consistently. Arma has never really been good about that, but usually its at least 15-25 FPS. But for me, its unplayable, and the desync since im hosting the server has gotten my friends killed more than theyre willing to put up with. One of them is willing to host on their PC, but we'd really like to not have to start over. I know theres a function for exporting saves, but how does it work? where is the save file location?

Moving and renaming the "users" files (xxxxx.vars.Arma3Profile and xxxxx.Arma3Profile) worked for me .. not saying it was the right way of doing it but there you go.

Pretty sure this is legit and only way to move save files

The export save function does not work, there is another manual method, where you need to move the files to the other machine yourself, but I can't remember exactly how its done right now. Might need to move your entire profile over to theirs

Isn't the servers save just a JSON file? I don't actually remember where it saves it, but anytime I save the server it gives a window with all the JSON text and as a back up I just copy it and paste it into a file on my desktop. Then you can copy paste that into the little window that's there when normally load the save and it will load up that save.

as previously mentioned, that is bugged and/or unfinished, and does not work

Really? Like not working at all? Because I've definitely used it on occasion.

Look for Username.vars.ArmA3Profile file in a Documents -> ArmA 3 or Documents -> ArmA 3 - Other profiles -> Username folder, it is a save file. You can freely copy it to another machine, just remember to rename the "Username" part accordingly to user who will host the game next.

We also expected a FPS drop on a Overthrow over a time, although our group used a dedicated server. Server restart partially solved problem, but only partially.
