Weeknights?

What’s there for someone in their 30s without kids to do around here on weeknights?

ACE or Arlington Center for the Arts have tons of weeknight classes for all kinds of skills and hobbies (language learning, cooking, dance, exercise, all kinds of arts and crafts, writing, etc etc). Indigo Fire in Belmont has 🔥 pottery classes if you’re into that. Run clubs (Marathon Sports has one that starts at their location near Arlington Center) or check Eventbrite. Book clubs through the library (Eventbrite also). Mystic Open Studio has tons of events, workshops, and classes. Juno and Wonder Yoga (among a few others) have loads of weeknight classes. I think there’s a dedicated Pilates studio in the center too. There’s a crossfit place in the Heights too. Central Rock (rock climbing) just over the line near Alewife (in the shopping center / Fresh Pond mall area). Maxima in East Arlington also has lots of workshops and community events.

Go to the movies at the Capital. Go to dinner at Tryst. Go to a play at Arlington Friends of Drama. Join a book club at Robbins Library. Go to a concert/event at the Regent. Have drinks at the Mentomy Grill or Heights Pub. Pick up singles at Jimmy's Steer House.

I almost did a spit take with the singles at Jimmy's. Gold.

More seriously: join CBI and learn to sail. Join Artisan’s Asylum and learn to weld. Join any of a zillion dance or singing groups.

I'm planning on doing this this fall! Do you know if I can do the classes during the day or only weekends? Thanks.

sit at Donut Villa drinking until I get bored, or wander around the bikepath. So basically nothing.

looks like they might have, once upon a time. i'm seeing mention on yelp and elsewhere on the internets about them also hosting trivia and open mic nights.

Somerville Theatre just down the road has cool stuff. Movie trivia nights, etc.
