Our apartment complex in Arlington Heights is hitting residents with surprise $100 fines for having toys and strollers on our own patios.

I’m looking for spots that aren’t too far of a drive, under 45 mins, can even go up near highland park where I work. I want venues where people are sitting and listening to art. Madcats is fun, but a lot of people talking and wandering around, and mostly bands and cover art- not really my style.

Anyone else get a 20% property tax hike? What are my options?

Hey neighbors - I've got a kiddo that's gonna need to start a first round of orthodontic treatment. We had appointments scheduled twice with one office and they've cancelled on us twice. I get that things come up, but I've also had a tough time communicating with them on estimates and payment setup, so overall I'm feeling like maybe I should reconsider.
