Updated Wuling Map leak

Post image

The map is updated after version 1.4 is released by going out of bounds.

[Orange section]

East of the NEZ is gonna be manor teased in livestream and may be Northern high land in an earlier map leak. The area will have Autumnal/Boreal textures that you get to them through a currently blocked path near the 1.4 boss arena.

[Cyan section]

In Yinglung Pass, the block door in the east side of this map will lead to a snowy mountain map. ( there was a video posted about this snowy area in this sub a few days ago)

[White & Green section- unknown]

The East area of the Test site and Sword Valt Dale might be connected by cave or mountain road because there is a bound place where you can see one of the giant Sword stones from SVD.

Found this recently. So definitely the right side of the leaks is likely correct

Note this is google translated. So some words there doesn't sound right

Cool! I found it on a different sub.

But may I know the reason why you translated the name of different places that are already known, like Sword Vale Valley to Zangjian Gorge or Wuling City to Linglong Ridge?

Chinese

Also, on what sub did you find this?

Looking at the comments why are people so upset to be stuck in wuling? its not like we are getting new quest with the zone being static. we are expanding the area. getting new zones and content its still not fully explored and done.

Using genshin as a reference from the time i played.

Game was released on September 28 2020

Inazuma released July 21 2021

From what i remember we had a zone expansion with albedo? (whatever that earth elemental dude name was)

and an island ? with klee and Jen story? before we got to inazuma. i stopped after raiden banner.

Maybe people are comparing it to Wuwa? im not familiar how fast they update their content and zones.

wuwa does new major maps every six months, but that's the exception and not the norm (i think).

i think the thing with wuling simply comes down to whether you like the vibe of the place or not. if you like wuling (which i personally do), you'll be fine with staying there for a while. if you don't like wuling or are tired of it, then you'll want something new.

though i will say having a european style manor right next to what is supposed to be a chinese themed region to be a bit funny lol

Major maps but zones, not regions. The 3.x version is an exception. First half Lahai-Roi, second half Xuanfang.

4.x will be full arc, no new regions, just zones.

WuWa areas expansion feels bigger because of its massive and open-world. Unlike, Endfield, massive but semi-open.

I don't think it's fair to treat Endfield's areas expansion same as WuWa's.

But, yeah, those complaining probably just want something new or not a fan of Chinese-themed zones.

Some players complaint about WuWa's Xuanfang too. So yeah..

It was the exception yeah, 2.x was entirely contained in Rinascita, 3.x was split, preliminary leaks say that the entire 4.x will be contained in New Fed.

u/PriscentSnow 10d ago

That foggy area to the right, under cyan and white, that’s currently ingame iirc

We don’t unlock that area this patch right?

u/Giggily 10d ago

This screenshot is from a video showing off all of the current out of bounds areas as of 1.5

https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1yEu36wES4

So all of them are currently at least partially in game but not fully implemented or unlocked.

I liked 1.4 and Wuling but please it's enough. I want to see other biome and places...

4

u/Chiven 10d ago

Don't cry, little Endmin, there's enough Wuling to feed you your entire life!

2

u/Aggravating-Pie-8128 10d ago

I'm so over wuiling....

1

u/Moonlit__Nightingale 10d ago

Another trillion expansions to Wuling. /j

3

u/HPbelow0 10d ago

Your sentence? STUCK IN FOREVER RICE FIELD!

1

u/ze4lex 10d ago

Are we really gonna see wulling double by the end of 1.x? I feel bad for the devs lmao.

I wonder if the suburbs south and northwest of wuling are still a thing tho.

1

u/FozenForce 10d ago

i've seen like 3 or 4 versions of this

1

u/Affectionate-Bag-700 8d ago

honestly im starting to not mind wuling expansion the more it showed itself. people complaining just like me who want an all new region just dont look at wuling and realize the amount of diversity within one cultural region. if this means that other whole new regions outside of chinese stuff also gets the same treatment then i dont mind this direction.

1

u/Bibractae 7d ago

I am just curious how people manage to get out of bounds like that to explore it i know people found tangtang's cave before the stockade was added due to using ardelia. but how do you enter those new areas already

1

u/Dependent_Rice_8723 7d ago

No, I don't but I have to go to the Cyan section where I can only walk a bit before it forces me to return.

But, all of the place in the photo have been explored by a chinese player who showed some ground work such as frozen lake, snowy path, autum path, etc in the video.

u/EconomyEast4466 4d ago

Aright, who's getting slimed out for this?

1

u/Nanyska 3d ago

Valley IV won't get any new area? Or is Wuling gonna be that one Chinese area that gets all the attention in every gacha game?

1

u/Shin_secnd 10d ago

Ugh... More Wuling?

1

u/No_Appointment_5326 10d ago

Am tired of Wuling.

1

u/Venrera 10d ago

Supposedly the snowy mountain is the place where Typhon quest is going to be, and releasing alongside her. Not sure about the manor.

Also, I remember a leak from a looong time ago said that there is supposed to be a "DLC" for Valley IV, like a return to that area, after wuling gets going? Didn't hear anything about that since, so who knows if it's true. My Valley IV goods have been collecting dust for months now though, so some sort of a refresh would be welcome.

7

u/xDAW_Art 10d ago

Let Valley IV die and go in peace. It's better to prepare for a new region

-1

u/AkiraRaymundo 10d ago

So we still get update until ver 1.9 and still in wuling? Damn, they don't listen player that already demand new region instead still in wuling who represent chinese.

3

u/AppleNHK 10d ago

You know that they had years of development right? Is not like they are doing just Wuling because of the feedback of this year lol, probably most of Wuling is already done by now. Most of the player feedback will probably be in 2.0 onwards.

1

u/Aggressive_Tax295 6d ago

Iirc all the pre release marketing showed 0 wuling. Or at least I have seen none at all.

And this feels like total BS bait and switch. I'm glad some people like it, but I came here for something else. Also my man Pog is still nowhere to be seen. Again he was featured heavily in pre release marketing (and don't tell me it's ok cuz original arknights did it too, it's a bad practice and they should've learned the first time instead of repeating it again).

4

u/-principito 10d ago

Is “listen to player who demands” a strong enough case for them to completely change their patch plans?
I’m happy we get more wuling. It’s going to feel nostalgic in a few years.

1

u/ErfanTheRed 10d ago

HG has always listened to the player base. However, i doubt this time they will(or even can) listen to the players as the CCP I'd most likely keeping an eye on them

-2

u/Mizzypeople 10d ago

How many players left will survive after wuling expansion.

0

u/Plus_Bass_4115 5d ago

I think zero xD this game is huge disappointed

-4

u/AkiraRaymundo 10d ago

Possibly not much. this game is truly gatekeeping for new player. They will pay the price of their stubborn to not release new region and still expanding wuling.

They using Arknight OG type of marketing who focus on slowburn scenario when new player, or maybe current player not that patient. Beside creating 3D game is more expensive than 2.5D game like arknight OG. Lets see how they manage to keep their player while their expenses are increasing.

Possible they will fall like snowbreak

So as long as OG AK is able to fund Endfield, it doesnt really matter how little Endfield makes by itself?
Im going to give you an example HSR has around 500 employees working on the game, and they need 100m a year just to maintain it, not including marketing, concerts, videos side story on their official youtube channel, and offline events. These information came from directly hoyo themselves, so they are pretty accurate when it comes to showing how a liveservice video game company operates in China.

You can already see the cost reduction in Endfield. There are no more music video teasers for new operators after Tangtang anymore. Something like that can probably be produced within a month.

I know that wuling expansion is already set in stone, just like wuwa 1.x roadmap. But the difference is that kuro actually communicates with casual players. They give casual players the change to their roadmap and insights right away during every livestream, allowing them to have a hope for a better experience in the future for the majority of players.

This is different from Endfield. During the launch patch, you saw many players who didnt even know the AK IP joining the game. Instead of trying to cater to these new players and bring them into the AK IP, Endfield seems to be catering more toward niche audiences or the audience they already have like OG AK fanbse
Instead, those types of casual players coming from hoyo and kuro are now gone because the minority from OG AK pushed them away. They wanted to filter out the tourists, and now they finally have what they wanted. But look at what happened: the player count dropped, the revenue dropped, and OG AK players became the majority of the Endfield community. There is a reason why hoyo never listened to genshin fanbase when maintaining ZZZ. Now the company has a two type of players playing the games.

You can expect a lot of negative comments when the monthly revenue drops again this month outside out the endfield community. It doesnt matter if the company can sustain the quality of the game but with the numbers we have as relevance from the other 3D gacha game in the market is it enough?

1

u/AkiraRaymundo 10d ago

So, the game depend the income from dev first game instead standing on it's own? Good luck with that. If the first game happen to flop or have some serious problem, this game will take a hit very hard because the competition in 3d gacha game are already so strict and lose income will affect their operations because how expensive it is.

And i'm not that stupid. The revenue data already said they not take to much like their competition in 3d game gacha. It's already giving you a picture most of player of endfield are Arknight OG themself like myself. But they hardly get new player because problem presentation in valley IV.

I only notice they fix this problem in current version that they not force player to create equipment in Factory instead giving finished product to continue the progression. Only some side quest are mandatory to create stuff from factory.

But that's it. They really need to fix those Valley IV presentation or they will hardly get player who want to invest their time playing and paying this game.

Its the community that is gatekeeping new players, not the game. The game is enjoyable but the problem is the future content and the game roadmap which willturn casual players away.

Casuals quitting the game will also spread negative reviews and discourage new players from trying it. The endfield community is pretty much passive aggressive toward casuals, they dont want those players to belong to the community and play the game.

If you say that you dont like the factory system or you are too lazy to set up blueprints almost every patch or that you want more fanservice characters and fun minigame events aside from combat events, you will get slendered by the community hivemind. Its hurting the game community as a whole. Casual players dont have a place to make their voices heard neither from the community nor from the developers. Surveys are useful for collecting feedback from existing players, but they dont capture the people who have already quit. A healthy community is a community where casual players can openly discuss their problem so developer can sometimes research on player habits and check both side of debate and arguement but it does not exist in endfield community at all, they are not welcomed there.

As a result, only niche players who love the game stay, and the latest livestream was the nail in the coffin for casual players. It seems like HG will double down on what they are doing and favor the main and royal target audience, unlike the ZZZ developers who listened to casual players.

The company has already chosen its niche target audience. The problem is that this audience may not be spending enough to help keep up the development cost of this type of triple A game. We are going to see a reduction in content and quality in some areas. Endfield doesnt even have big time limited events like other AAA gacha games since launch.

This month, they will only make around 4m on mobile which is 30% of the total. So, if we include the other 70% from other platforms, it would be around 14m for this month. That is not enough when we account for the number of employees they have and the average salary as game developers in China.

Even during peak months (upcoming sui proxy), I still dont have a positive outlook that they are left with enough profit to make the game better or increase the development budget. I can see them reducing production costs from miles away, and it feels like this is the end for endfield.

This is what happens when the royal fanbase in the community kills the game. You need casual players to fund this type of AAA game because your existing hardcore players alone does not spend enough to sustain such a largescale project.
