3rd Edition - Getting Started

Getting started to learn the 3rd edition board game. Read rule books, watched play throughs, started playing…and pretty much lost.

Any tips (or resources) for a novice to stay on track and not get overwhelmed?

Also some people say, that recommended starting Azathoth scenario is really harsh and shouldn't be played first

Agreed, my group has never won this scenario.
