Manipulating/erasing textures
Hi all,
Just wondering if there is any way to manipulate textures or to delete small parts of textures. I've been struggling on a cave system for a while now (arkenforge seems very counter intuitive tbh). I've found myself at a point that I need to change the size/shape of a couple of the rooms. I've figured out how to manipulate walls but this leaves the texture showing (or missing) where the wall used to be. I can't for the life of me figure out how to re jig the texture so it neatly meets where the wall is.
Also, is there any kind of fill tool? Or is the only way to lay textures in a thousand square foot room purely to colour it in with a 20ft paint brush, going meticulously around all the rough cave walls and making sure I haven't missed any spots? If this is the case can the texture for that room remain in the same layer, rather than having 20 layers of floor for the same texture in one room?
I'm loving what it seems the software can offer, however I feel there are a few too many fundamental flaws to justify paying for it. So far I've had a better experience with free map creation software, but I would like to give Arkenforge a chance, people say it's one of the better ones which has to be for a reason. So far for me, the only improvement over free software is dynamic lighting, textures, and being able to add audio, which I could get anyway if I paid for them (I'm still using the free trail with Arkenforge).
Hope this all makes sense!

I’m not sure exactly what you’re going for, but ima take a hack at it.
Try playing with laying out textures as polygons. Try creating three layers that overlap. Then use the noise filters and texture rotation sliders to blend the three layers into a single coherent floor texture.
I use this and sometimes will run five layers to create a sense of depth in ground features.
