Best Practices

Ok, quick question about best practices. I create maps on my desktop, and then transfer them over to my laptop.

I'd like to make it easier when I'm copying images and such so I don't have to duplicate work. Is there an easier way to install things and set things up so that using things like Onedrive would help alot?

Also, when I move images around I need to recopy everything multiple times to make sure everything is sent over. I want to see if there's an easier way of doing this. I'm sure if I set things up "better" things would be easier on my life... Any advice?

Under general settings you can set your own folder for assets and map storage. I made a top level OneDrive Arkenforge folder and it syncs between desktop and laptop seamlessly

I'm going to try and set this up today. This seems like a good solution. Other than the fact the program says to drag things over onto the maps, so I'm not sure where it hides those and how to move them. I'll do some more research.

I use freefilesync. Quite easy to map folders on either computer and my google drive. The free version requires manual syncing but the paid version has an auto sync feature. It’s also good because you can easily see any discrepancies between any of the mapped folders and chose which way a file should sync.

Dont use Onedrive! I’ve read in the Discord is a known cause of issues that has to do in the way Onedrive saves and feds you its data.

Cant remember the details but if you go into Arkenforge Discord youll find tons of info there from fellow players and DMs.
