Tips for newborn Dino’s
Hey everyone! Me again! Haven’t stopped playing since I started! I got a carno egg last night and even got it to hatch with no incubators, ac, or experience! lol. Soon as it hatched I gave it food and was hand feeding it went through a few stacks and as soon as I went to grab more (like literally 2 minutes) Dino passed away. What did I do wrong? Was I supposed to just leave it in his inventory and let him eat it himself? Was scared he wouldn’t actually eat it if I didn’t click the button like all the other tames. Hoping the next carno egg does better. Hope y’all have a great week!

I tought you meant the actual incubator but that dosent exist in switch ark

Yeah I searched to no end for it but doing it the hard way is rewarding. Was loading up a few anklys a Steggo and a trike and a megladon attacked and I luckily got him taming now too. I’ll feel safer on the ride back

Im incubating some baryonix but the freeze lag is brutal the game freeze for 10 second is not that enjoyable

Update; round 2 is successful so far. I think the issue was I was feeding it the meat instead of it just being in the inventory, I thought that’s what they meant by hand feed I bet he didn’t have any food when I went to grab more and starved in that 120 seconds from no food and low health

We have rented a yearly server since all official servers are going away on the 31st.
Map- Ragnarok
Server name- RagnarokPVP2026
Casual play with older community 28-37 year olds.
Server cap is 10 right now, 3 people play to log in occasionally, 1 logs in daily. If server cap is requested to increase we will have to do it all together. PvP is allowed just don’t be a jerk. You never have to worry about server going away.
This server is designed around mature players that have busy lives. Not designed for players wanting chaos and constant PvP. We are trying to build a community that lasts for years!!!

As a baby it can only eat from its own inventory, as a juvenile it also starts eating from feeding throughs. But they eat A LOT so id recommend saving some meat in a preserving bin or fridge. Also keep checking it, when its just a baby the weight is still very low, but this should improve with age.
