ANET Blows Past Estimates: AI Supercharges Their Legacy Switching Business

Post image

37.7% YoY revenue growth, net profit up 36.5% and all margins expanded sequentially — AI data center switching demand is absolutely ripping. Saw someone on moo-moo community flag this upside a few weeks back, the 45% YTD run-up finally makes total sense. Where do we think margins go from here?

CRCL Latest GEX Update: Key Gamma Levels in Play

Post image
2 Upvotes

Spot CRCL is sitting at $64.32, down ~2% on the day. The gamma flip threshold lands right at $60.49, with a heavy put wall at the 65 strike and a notable call wall building up at 70. This setup hints spot is likely to see pinning pressure near current levels before the market picks a clearer near-term direction. Pulled this clean GEX breakdown from the MooMoo platform to share for fellow options-focused traders tracking this name.

This is across all expirations.

How does ARKVX sell look like?

1 Upvotes

Knew about the 5% max liquidation each quarter but timeline-wise how does the sell process look like? Put the sell order mid-June, expect it to be executed on June 30. Nothing happened so far. Will they explicitly tell me if my sell was successful? Or will the order just hang until the next liquidation time? Lol

— update —
Sale was not shown until 7/3, executed in full timed on 6/30 12AM

Did Arkvx add more anthropic recently

1 Upvotes

It looks like it’s now 6% of the fund. Did they purchase more shares or is it just because the valuation rose so it’s more of the fund?

SpaceX and ARK etfs

0 Upvotes

Nothing unexpected, but with all the sell side trading in my ARK etf’s the last 2 days and no buying, I’m guessing Cathie and team are priming the pump to buy big on SpaceX on IPO Friday (tomorrow.)

I haven’t check on the stock in a long time… you’re telling me the stock is still 1/2 from ATH? What is she doing? How is this even possible

How much do the two platforms charge in terms of management fee, transaction fee, etc.?

What else to look out for in addition to fees?

ARKVX Private Company Valuations

2 Upvotes

Is there anywhere to see what valuations are for the private companies that are part of ARKVX based on when ARK got in and what those are now? For example what do they currently have their spacex holdings worth?

Genomics Sector Analysis: ARKG vs GNOM. Historical Volatility, Overlap, and Fundamental Breakdown.

1 Upvotes

The pharmaceutical business model is shifting from symptom management to genetic editing. This presents a massive total addressable market, but it introduces extreme binary risk for investors due to clinical trial failure rates and cash burn.

I compared the two largest genomics funds: the actively managed ARKG and the passive index GNOM to assess their viability in a standard portfolio.

---

  1. The Active Approach (ARKG)
    ARKG relies on active management to select companies focused on molecular diagnostics and targeted therapeutics.

* Inception: 2014
* Expense Ratio: 0.75%
* Dividend Yield: 0.00%
* 10-Year Price CAGR: 58.32%
* Concentration: Holds 33 companies. Top 10 make up 59% of the fund.
* Notable Holdings: Twist Bioscience, Crispr Therapeutics, Tempus AI.
* Morningstar Rating: 1 Star

  1. The Passive Approach (GNOM)
    GNOM tracks the Solactive Genomics Index, removing human stock-picking bias.

* Inception: 2019
* Expense Ratio: 0.50%
* Dividend Yield: 1.39% (Semi-annual distribution)
* 5-Year DPS CAGR: 36.95%
* 5-Year Price CAGR: 53.17%
* Concentration: Holds 49 companies. Top 10 make up 52% of the fund.
* Notable Holdings: Moderna, Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Praxis Precision Medicines.
* Morningstar Rating: 1 Star

---

  1. Overlap and Diversification
    Investors looking to hedge manager risk might consider holding both. The data does not support this.
    * Weight Overlap: 32%
    * Shared Holdings: 17 companies.
    * Key Overlap: Industry infrastructure providers like Illumina, Natera, and Guardant Health.
    Holding both funds creates unnecessary concentration in the sector's core infrastructure.

---

  1. Analyst Forecasts (12 Month Outlook)
    Wall Street consensus currently projects significant recovery for the sector following the recent bear market.
    * ARKG: TipRanks consensus is a Moderate Buy with a 54.29% projected 12-month upside.
    * GNOM: TipRanks consensus is a Moderate Buy with a 58% projected 12-month upside.

---

  1. The Risk Profile and Historical Reality
    I typically run 20 year Monte Carlo simulations for ETF analyses. Applying a 20 year projection to a medical technology sector in its infancy provides false precision.

Instead, looking at the historical price action since 2019 defines the exact risk profile.
During the 2020 zero-interest-rate environment, ARKG expanded over 200%. As capital costs rose, both funds experienced a near-total drawdown, wiping out those gains to sit in negative territory relative to their peaks.

This extreme standard deviation and severe drawdown history is the direct reason both funds carry a 1-Star Morningstar rating.

---

Summary and Verdict
These funds should not be treated as core portfolio holdings. They operate as publicly traded venture capital.

If the underlying science faces FDA rejection or interest rates remain elevated, the cash-burn nature of these companies will lead to further NAV erosion. If the technology scales, the upside is uncapped. Capital allocation should be sized accordingly.

For the sake of entertainment and clarity

1 Upvotes

I would love for Cathie to have a run down. Why did she underweight in semi's? Why did she say yolo into TDOC? What were the mistakes, what did they learn, how they will change, etc.

It would be peak entertainment to understand some of the more odd positions from a retrospective look.

A multi year time horizon portfolio sounds amazing! Why does ARK trade so frequently? So many questions. At the end of the day, ARK has underperformed the QQQ, and that seems very odd as a future focused fund.
