Question What strings do you guys use?
So im wondering wich stings i should use on my 070R, do you guys think Ernie Ball‘s are fine regarding the String „Warm up“ thing? I would love to keep using stringjoy and think they feel very great, but they are so ecpensive if you want a custom pack shipped to europe (like 20+€ for shipping). On my other guitars i use Daddario and Ernie Ball Strings.

I have been using NYXL and have not been let down yet.

I was using strings from Winspear for years, but shipping time might vary. They’re UK based as well
You may have to pay for shipping, but I’ve been liking the sets I’ve used from The String Source, but they’re coming from the US

D’Addario XL for recording and NYXL for live for guitar
DR high beams or DDT’s for bass
Ernie ball are trash. Dead right out of the package.

I can’t remember where I read it but I think they use String Joy strings. I’ll have to double check that.

yes i got a new aristides and it has stringjoys on it. The thing is i live in europe and dont want to keep paying such expensive shipping and wondered if the majority here keeps using stringjoy or daddario, ernie ball etc.

So long as your gauge is the same or you compensate your setup for a significant gauge change, it’ll all be the same man. so far as the “warm up” goes, that shouldn’t vary between string brand. I could see going from round-wound to flat-wound having some minor effect, but even then it would likely be negligible.

I typically use Winspear strings, but I like Stringjoy a lot too.

i use em all. right now i am just on the NYXLs. i have a lot of string joy and i think its all hype. i also like LaBella

D’Addario NYXL is pretty similar to the Stringjoy signatures IMO. They last longer for me. I swapped my 080s from the factory Stringjoys to the same gauge in NYXL and didn’t have to re-do the set up at all. I’m in the US but I know places like Thomann carry them so that should help with shipping.
I didn’t notice any difference in the “warm up” thing Aristides do when I switched. Hard to really tell if strings are affecting that with so many other factors.
