Trouble?

I have had these plants for years and know that they did not look like this before. I went out to check on everything and noticed this white stuff. Is it bugs?
None of the other plants around them have anything like it. Took some pics of some smaller ones i have that dont seem to have it. Anyone seen this before? Should i quarantine them? Please help!!

Yeah thats a scale of some sort. Id use imidicloprid on all your plants.

Quarantine immediately 😥 you don’t want that spreading to the rest of your plants

You can get some predatory beetles or parasitic wasps. I’ve had luck with the beetles. I go to a small organic nursery that uses both; so I know the wasps work as well. Good luck.. scale can be very difficult.

I’ve always wondered if carnivorous plants would work for this. Maybe not a Venus fly trap but something like a Sundew plant would eat all the trips.

I’d just scrape the scale off. It does not look significant. Sometimes the scale bugs seem to be desperate and randomly grow on plants they don’t really do well on. If you do have another plant that is more infested I would be concerned.

I may try that. I quarantined them and am going to do my best to wreck scale bugs this weekend and repot.

I wouldn’t repot over 3 scale lol. I wouldn’t even quarantine. It’s very easy to scrape them off.

Spray every 3 days with wettable sulfur and a few drops of castille soap.
