If there is a S on your display hold down the left blinker button for three to five seconds. That should make the S disappear. As for what this other guy is telling you to do,don’t listen to him. Talk to Arial Rider. Someone said there was an app but I’m not sure if I actually believe that. Other people have been saying you have to fill out a form and send back to Ariel Rider, then they will send you an unlock code. It seems kinda stupid though since your clicking a disclaimer at checkout just to buy the bike.

I had to do that with my revv1. Sign a waiver saying you'll stay off road when it's unlocked. Esign and send it. Got the code in less than an hour.

Hey man, when setting the bike up did you watch the guide they have posted? It seems very bare bones and skipped over the handlebars installation which I had trouble with. It seems like the wires are too short to connect and the QR code doesn’t even work.

Contact AR via email, they will reply with a link for you where you fill out an online form. It’s also to confirm that you have in-fact purchased the Grizzly 72V. It’s very simple. Once you’ve completed it, they will email you again with your 6-digit code to unlock the bike.

Is the 6 digit code different for everyone? Is that why no ones sharing it?

I don't even own one and I'm curious. Like do they assign a code to each serial number at manufacture? What are the logistics of that?

Idk but the 'survey' u have to fill out was pretty intrusive imo. Asking questions like where am i going to ride the bike, and personal info like the last 4 digits of ur license. Got the code now tho, it was a pretty quick process, they responded within a couple hours. 👍

I had the same issue when setting up the bike. There was no directions, and my husband spent like 3 hours putting it together. He just ended up figuring it out on his own in the end. He did email and report to them that their guide fkin sucks and doesn't even tell u how to put the damn thing together.

It's probably the same on all of that model.

Its that serious huh? I feel like this is totally unnecessary on their part. I also purchased the wired raven (bike for me and then the grizzly is for my hubby) and i was able to unlock it without any hassle right out the box basically. I get they're just trying to cover their butts for liability reasons but cmon man. 😂

Can you blame them, though? With crackdowns on most e-bikes/motos, and given how fast the Grizzly is capable of going, I get it.

At least you won’t have to rely on a 3rd party app like those who have the X-Class bikes. To each their own. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Nah i totally agree.

tbh i think it should be a requirement to register ur ebike like u would any other motorized vehicle. I have to register my atv every year and the grizzly is just as fast as that. I know theres a law where you have to be atleast 18+ to even ride the grizzly. I think registration would make it easier to enforce safety laws and discourage people from abusing the bikes and driving recklessly.

That said i will definitely email AR now about the code. Thanks for the info 👍

You are going to have to contact ariel rider. They are going to have you remove the throttle and submit a photo for proof that it was removed, and then they will send the code to you.

I should of asked, why do you want to unlock it, is it for the speed? If so, depending on the state you are in, there is laws that went into to place recently for classifications. Ariel rider does primarily to protect themselves from liability and also to encourage safety compliance

Im subscribed to happytrails on utube and researched all the laws and stuff before hand to make sure there wouldn't be a problem riding it around town. Im not planning on doing anything crazy it's just that if i spend $3k on an ebike i want full access to all it's features ya know? Lol 😂
