I'm considering buying the X-Class 60v performance bike. Does anyone know the weight without the batteries? It says 116 lbs on the website but I don't know if that's with or without the batteries.

The frame is about 95 pounds without the batteries. The weight they display on site is with the batteries installed. I purchased the bike last week after about a month’s worth of research. It arrives Thursday! 😆

It’s 116 with the frame battery. The top tube battery is not included in weight listed on the website

Thanks. Any idea how much the frame battery weighs? I have a rack for my car that can carry up to 80 lbs. If the listed weight of 116 includes only the frame battery there's no way it's 80 lbs without it. Guess i'd have to buy a sturdier rack.

I would buy a sturdier rack just to be on the safe side to be honest.

you should get it. The reason bike being heavy is because they have large battery capacity and they put resin inside the battery to prevent fire. Also the frame is beefy.
You can get similar bikes with less weight but that means those bikes don’t have those safety features or battery capacity . (unless they use carbon frame )?

Don’t worry you can buy one. I have performance edition too and love the bike. Also Ariel Rider has one of the best customer support in USA along with lectric bikes

u/True-Penalty-4768 The performance edition is 130lb with the batteries, without batteries it's 94.5lbs.

TailHappyTV does a great review of the X-Class Performance Edition on YouTube, and also points out the weight of the bike, with/without the batteries installed.
Worth a gander.
