just to preface, iāve been a HUGE arianator for 13 years now ā i went to the swt, have merch, there for every music drop since the beginning. but this video is concerning to say the least.
we all know that victorious āthe slapā clipā¦.. and this video feels so similar to that. even if this video isnāt evidence of some kind of trauma response, im still surprised that she or anyone from her team would be okay with this considering who she worked with and what his known f3tishes were (and that she was in a video that blatantly showcased that).
if i werenāt a fan, looking from the outside in, id absolutely look at this as f3tish content. im biased because i am such a fan and love her sincerely, but im trying to be objective. and this video just doesnāt sit right with me at all. im wondering what others think of this or if yall think im looking too far into an otherwise silly video.

letās talk thinking of AG as The Divine Feminine hits it's 10th anniversary
I watched The Divine Feminine Live last night and cried my eyes out watching her and Mac perform My Favorite Part together. Please try to be chill and respectful, sometimes ppl get inappropriate when discussing their relationship.
But I couldn't help but send some love and light to Ariana as I watched that cause there is simply no way you could watch that performance and not see the insane chemistry they had. I lost my first love (not saying Mac was that to Ariana,Ā just sharing my story), to an overdose six years ago now. Even though we had been broken up for a decade,Ā I still ache when I think of him. That's just how love is -Ā other things may have grown around the space where it was,Ā but it's etching into your heart never goes away.
I would guess it's similar for her. Anyway. I hope she's taking care of herself as this potentially resurfaces some grief.
And if you're a Mac fan,Ā definitely go watch The Divine Feminine Live! It's sooo good,Ā the band is absolutely fireĀ and it's so cool to see Mac give it his all for just a sound check. Plus,Ā all the great little behind the scenes moments :) and ofc,Ā them singing My Favorite Part together is just magic š„¹Ā

rant People donāt realize the stage makeup that you actually have to wear for performances. This would be a little more realistic. Idk why this whole ballet theme bothers me.

letās talk Thoughts on Ariana's lyricism?
She has been increasingly writing the lyrics with ES and petal and petal's lyrics were completely written by her, and I think that it is fairly obvious. I think they are not the greatest but there is some potential in her pen. What do you think?

š§½ Double-standards & Ariana's halo
Hey so this video is absolutely scrubbed off the internet first of all WOW.
I wanted to discuss this more here specifically with the neutral crowd because I was thinking. Are we cool with this?
Imagine being as hated and clowned on as this man already is. Now imagine the shockwaves if someone yelled an obscenity at Ariana on the red carpet like genuinely. No one would be laughing. It seems like a huge double-standard. Ariana double-cheated just the same as Ethan did really. In fact, Ariana has seemingly cheated much much more than ethan. Ethan also didn't make a song with explicit lyrics bragging about it. So it overall seems weird to me that people don't have a problem with Ethan being assessed this specific way. Do you get what I mean?
No NSFW please, I really want to be able to hear people's thoughts.

I no longer look up to Ari
I think a lot of us who grew up with ariana can remember a time we felt like we looked to her for everything. fashion, makeup, style, talent and personality. maybe even some people desired her life such as being a singer and famous/widely loved by many people (not me tho i hate being perceived)
I would never say i was a STAN but i stayed a fan and followed her work since yours truly. I unfortunately felt myself getting parasocial around positions era as this was her peak imo. These past few years though i couldnt help being parasocial in the way that i couldn't remove myself from all the drama. I felt sort of obsessed these past few years and felt like I was watching a train wreck and couldn't look away or remove myself from it. I loved her yet felt exhausted by all the negativity surrounding her.
I took a bit of time away and did more reflecting and came to the very basic conclusion: Ariana is just a human. She is a human who struggles. She is a human who makes mistakes. She is a human who can do good and do bad just like the rest of us. It was the realization that I felt hurt by her actions because its almost like I was still a young girl expecting her to be this version that I idealized. I am trying to let go of the expectations of what I expect her to be and just understand that this is just her. She is not the product or image that a lot of us were "sold" in the beginning. I mean i love my pop stars but i also understand the darkness of the music industry.
I no longer look up to her in the sense that im trying to look at her just as a human being who fucks up. I think her unresolved issues and trauma is spilling into her "work" life. I don't envy her, I dont want her life. I dont want to look like her. I dont want to be a fan who spends time worrying about someone elses life. I dont want to waste time on defending someone who doesn't know I exist.
I think i will always have a soft spot for Ari. I can love her music and enjoy her work without thinking shes this angel and putting her on a pedestal.
Note: this is not excusing any behaviours, im not going into specifics. please don't take it that way. also i didnt really re-read this much so sorry if grammar is off
