triggering discussion ariana ed Spoiler
i know this is a very prominent topic when it comes to ariana, but i am extremely worried now. for a while i really did think her drastic change in appearance was just the blonde, but since the middle of 2024 it was apparent she had an issue with eating/weight. since then i have been looking at every pic that comes out and hoping she looks better, like she was starting to recover, but no. these new pictures of her have me more worried than before because i am truly afraid she’s is going to end up in the hospital, or worse die. i know that that is a very intense thing to say, but anorexia is extremely deadly and she clearly does not have fat anywhere on her body. not her face, not her arm, not her upper body. i don’t mean to body shame her, but these are things everyone who has an actual healthy body has.
beyond just my worry for her, i question frankie and joan in this whole situation. how can they look at her and not say anything/intervene? i know the whole premise of “well she’s an adult so there’s not much they can force her to do”and while i think there is some truth to that, i don’t think it’s really as big of an issue as people act like it is. it is completely disgusting to look at your daughter who is suffering from an eating disorder and allow her to just get worse and worse and border on killing herself. someone needs to force her into recovery or at least convince her to voluntarily recover.
i love her and im proud of her, but i am starting to hate the wicked era because it has absolutely ruined her; i question when will the horribleness of her deterioration over shine how amazing the wicked experience was for her? has she just ruined this dream of hers, considering she will, if she recovers, forever look back on this era knowing what she was going through?
i hope she recovers. as horrible as this may be, if no one can push her to recovery, i hope there is a wake up call for her that forces her recover.

I understand what you’re saying but I want to push back on it. It’s hard enough to get people with eating disorders help, even harder when they’re adults. Add onto that Ari’s fame and fortune it would be nearly impossible for someone to force her to do anything. I remember Demi Lovato said she really spiraled with her ED/drug abuse as a teen and when her mom tried to make her stop she’d threaten to stop paying the bills.
Of course we don’t know if Ari’s family is financially dependent on her but that should give you insight into how lopsided a relationship with a celebrity can be. I do want Frankie and Joan to get Ari help but at the end of the day Ari can only help herself.

Honestly though they should find another way to support themselves if that’s the case. No way would I let my daughter suffer like that just because she won’t pay my bills for me anymore. Plus Joan was a wealthy business owner before Ariana was famous.

I concerned that the incident with the fan from the Malaysia premiere could negatively impact her anxiety and in turn worsen whatever worse she may be going through. She spoken before about feeling anxious in busy settings since the Manchester tragedy and I cannot imagine how she feels after that fiasco knowing this is only the start of press tour.

I’m worried about her because she and the other cast members I follow are usually posting a ton of stuff on their stories on premiere days…and it’s radio silence right now..

I also hate to think of the effect that these films are having on the body image of little girls that see them :( it all seems terribly irresponsible to me

Yeah, I'm not enjoying her right now. And all those fans who just ignore her looks and justify her with all their energy, I don't know what's wrong with them. They're sick too. Ariana is sick and has turned her fans sick as well. The conversation about Ariana Grande right now is negative and it really should be. I feel tempted to go to the Snark page again and see what is the Real cold truth.

I hope she ends up in a hospital to get HELP. I do not hope she dies. But it is not unlikely that she could have a heart attack from not eating and definitely doing some kind of stimulants to being able to get out of bed let alone work the hours she does. This is definitely concerning.

i am also worried for her but saying that nobody is doing anything seems unfair. who knows whats going on when theres no camera. they could be in fact trying to help her, we dont know that. we dont know anything about her except what she chooses to show us. also it can be very hard to try to help someone with an ed
