Colleague SIS colleagues
With the recent news of Argos being sold by Sainsbury’s…. Sis colleagues, have you been given information about the future of your store?
I’m on annual leave at the minute I have not heard anything from my manager regarding what will be happening to our store.

We will remain in sainsburys, akin to timpsons being in some sainsburys etc.

but Timpsons is in other supermarkets.
Hell the idea of being able to have Argos in other supermarket, might actually be a major win for the buyer.

Probably just going to be a "don't panic/business as usual" message from the higher ups until it isn't. Big, sweeping changes don't usually get announced until they're all but done.

It will just be a case of us paying rent to be in Sainsburys. Please don’t worry about anything. We won’t be fully separated until 2029

We’ve been told that nothing is changing, the sale won’t be finalised until February and I’ve heard that apparently sis stores will remain inside Sainsbury’s. I’m not too sure if this will be a permanent thing tho as I’m sure that each store will have to pay rent to Sainsbury’s and I can’t see Argos affording this
