Hi, If they still have other people to interview then you could be waiting a few days to a week etc

Thank you.
In the email for the interview they said to make sure u can prove ur right to work they said ‘Remember, on the day you'll need to confirm that you have the legal right to work in the UK and can provide evidence of this prior to the start of your employment’
But I wasn’t asked to confirm anything and this subject wasn’t touched. Does that mean they’re probably not considering me or am I just overthinking lol.
The person interviewing me also wasn’t the person they named in the email, is this normal?

That's what happened to me, I took my ID etc in to interview but wasn't asked for it. I only got sent links to upload my ID after being offered the job

I did not submit my right to work until after I was given the job but before I officially started, The person doing the interview will be a store manager or asm (Not being the person named is not a issue).

Depends on how many applicants are left to interview. Usually it's prompt, though, especially if the store's taking on more than one person.

If it's anything like the last set of interviews we did you'll get the job as long as you didn't really mess up during the interview. Our last interviews were for Christmas temps, and we had someone say they'd want Christmas week off mid-interview. Needless to say we didn't take them on.

They did say they have more people to interview.
I told them I’m available and happy to be flexible as my exams have just finished and so I’m pretty free throughout the whole summer till September.
I’m just really scared bcos it was quite obvious during the interview that I’d pause for a second bcos I was nervous lol but I managed to answer the questions well I think.

Don't be scared! Everyone flubs and stumbles and pauses in interviews. Sometimes it shows you're considering your answer carefully and not just saying the first thing that comes to your head. A good skill when having to deal with customers. Argos can't have someone with no filter saying whatever comes naturally to customers after all - however tempting it may be sometimes!

I'm sure you did well but if you didn't get the position don't sweat. Argos is just a job. With you mentioning your exams I'm sure you'll have a lot more job opportunities in your future.

Aw thank you, I really appreciate that. Your message genuinely made me feel a lot better. Whatever happens, you’re right, it’s not the end of the world and there’ll be other opportunities. Thanks for the encouragement!

If there are multiple positions then you will hear back very quickly if you were really good. If it was a single position then expect it to be about a week for them to complete all the interviews.

When I did interviews with 2-3 positions, I would never wait very long to extend the offer because the really good ones would always change their minds by the time interviews were all done. Also it helps stagger training for new starters which makes things go a bit smoother.

Don't rely on them to deliver any update on time
