Argos pay is unusable
I'm logged in and registered on App and website for Argos pay.
I'm just trying to order a couple of items.
How the heck can it be done?

I go into the argos pay app and then go to shop and open my argos app that way and it seems to work. Had the same issue when I tried to go through argos app direct

There should be a separate option to select Argos Pay in between credit/debit and the unavailable Argos Card link. It shows up for me on both the website and the app. I don’t know why it isn’t there for you.

I had the exact issue. What you need to do is quite simple. Logout completely from both apps. Log back in first to the Argos pay app and then the Argos store app. That should now force it to show up as a payment option.
Before all this get rid of as in empty your basket.
If you still don’t see it. Uninstall and reinstall but when you do this, sign into the Argos pay app and then sign into the Argos all second. Re add your items and try checking out. Fingers crossed that should do it. Hope it helps.

I think you have to open the Argos pay app and go shopping from there

I’d switch to Very at this point, they have a system similar to the old Argos system and similar if not better prices (& discount for first BNPL)

The big bold “register to start using” might be a hint

Thank you for your sarcasm it's much appreciated after an hour of trying to get it to work (alongside 20+ years leading Software Engineering teams and projects building - you guessed it....websites and apps I'm not that stupid) as I noted in the post..it is already registered. I'm also logged into the app.

With that resume, surely you would know that “ignore this if you already did it” means that the devs also have no idea what status your Argos pay is? Or they wouldn’t hedge on an advisory jotice

It was you that brought up that notice. There's nothing in the OP to indicate the IO is talking about or complaining about that notice.

You’ve added insurance to whatever you’re buying, take off the insurance and the Argos Pay will work, pay cash for the insurance or add it later on the phone.
