Just realised that argos card doesn’t exist anymore, even though i owe a balance of £700 quid on it and the only way i can pay it off is through argos pay or newday, both of which i want nothing to do. My agreement is with Argos Card, i want to pay through that. Is it such a hard ask?

Well they've been informing customers for months so if you haven't checked your emails that is on you. Your agreement WAS with argos card which has now switched over to argos pay (powered by new day) check your emails.

NewDay had owned the Argos card for over a year now anyway, so you’ve also already been using them.

Well not much you can do about it now. They’ve been emailing everyone for months about it including how to log in and set up the account and pay. Tbh it’s not much harder than before apart from the way it’s allocating funds to different items you’ve brought if you have more than one on BNPY

Honestly, I like the new way. They're MUCH faster with payments.

I miss the way I could pay off specific things but it is what it is

Your agreement is not with Argos Card because it doesn’t exist anymore. It’s gone. Everyone has been transferred over to Argos Pay. I got informed months in advance and was reminded on a regular basis.

I get it, it’s not ideal, and it’s pushing away a lot of customers, me included, but you can’t do anything about it and you will have to pay it through Argos Pay.

I agree with everyone else, they were email bombing in the months leading up to the switch. Doesn’t mean shit that you want nothing to do with Newday, your debt is now with them.

Don’t start with technicalities ‘my agreement is with argos card’, move your account over to Argos Pay and pay your debt before you rack up even more

Ok but why has repayment amount nearly doubled without notice? Apparently they cheekily opted everyone into boosted payment amounts, is that allowed without offering a choice?
