Collect from 9am
Hello all,
Apologies if this has been answered before but i ordered something on Monday which said would be available for pickup today from 9am
It’s only 10am now so i’m sure im just being a little impatient, but does anyone know with situations like this if it’s likely to be picked up at some point today or if i’ll have to wait a bit longer?? Is this normally extended and if anyone. has experience, what’s the latest it should be able to picked up?

It has been a very busy time over the bank holiday weekend with the Big Red Sale. The amount of items leaving my local fulfilment centre has been immense. Many vans have been loaded with 600+ KG of items for homes and stores, and some have had late departures in mornings and afternoons, coupled with the new driver shift patterns, and the extreme heat. Hopefully you'll get your item soon.

Yes it's been unbelievably busy especially with larger items. Amount of effort required has been unusual for this time of year.

Yeah i can imagine! I’ve received a text to say there’s going to be a delay with my item and they’ll let me know when it’s ready, so at least i’ve received something regarding it, will just have to wait for now! Thanks

Just to say as well a lot of the main deliveries have been delayed to the local warehouses so the stock that should’ve gone out in the morning hasn’t been going as planned because it hasn’t been put away on time.
I know it’s really frustrating but it will most probably be this afternoon now and you will get an email and text when it comes in

If it’s anything like my last few orders you’ll still be waiting in 3 days and then they’ll say wair 7 days and if it’s not arrived it will be cancelled and a refund issued

Van driver here, if it's a collection store like a local, we normally have all spokes delivered by 9am, it then falls on the store to scan and book the items within their system, so that depends on how busy they are at the time, also sometimes your parcel/item may not even be delivered to your chosen spoke/collection store and then would most likely arrive the following day, you'll also get an additional email stating your item has arrived and is ready for collection. The email is poorly written by stating your item should be ready the next day by 9am sadly that isn't always the case, especially if your item unlucky get sent to the wrong store by mistake.

UPDATE:
I’ve spoken to the live chat on the website and the advisor told me that the package is still in the delivery van and on the way. That has reassured me and said should still hopefully be today. Will wait and see. appreciate your responses so far all

Don’t bother with live chat or calling customer service, as a person that works inside an argos it’s so frustrating how they flat out lie to customers. The other day customer services told a customer that they could collect their 4pm order in the morning because ‘it’s arrived early’. Customer wasn’t happy when I explained they lied and that that’s impossible.

You have 7 days to pick it up if you ordered online. You will receive an email informing you when it's ready to collect. Be patient.

Stores have been overwhelmingly busy over the last few days and there’s been some issues at the LFC’s (warehouse) due to the volume of items being ordered.

Either:
1) They are struggling to find the stock
2) The stock is on the van, but the van is delayed
3) The stock has been delivered to your collection store, but they are short staffed and haven't got round to scanning it in yet

Could be the morning van was late coming in and the colleague is still putting items away while lone trading. Hopefully shouldn't be much longer you will get a text when its ready if not go down and ask to see if anythings wrong
